- What ever happened to Elián González? Belly of the Beast’s Liz Oliva Fernández recently sat down with Elián, now 29 and a father of a 2-year-old daughter, to talk about migration, family, and Cuba’s future.
Elián lives a modest life in his hometown of Cárdenas, just a few blocks from his father. As a recently elected lawmaker in Cuba he hopes to improve relations with the United States and the Cuban-American community.

I said the same, damn thing. I had to pinch myself and look it up to confirm. We were in the streets in San Francisco then, demanding this Cuban boy rightfully be returned to his father. There was no other choice. But it feels like a few years ago.

Sanctions don’t hurt the people of Cuba.
They should drop communism then if they want to be prosperous. It was that belief system and Castro's brutal regime that made a lot of people leave, including Elian's mother.
Then Cuba never should have nationalized American businesses that were set up there in the first place. Then those sanctions never would’ve came down.

Nunca hablo de Política porque, en principio, la detesto; y como nunca la he estudiado/practicado, pues sé muy poco de ella. Pero como he visto, a lo largo de los años, a tantos Cubanos repetir la misma perolata sin sentido, pues me animé a comentar sobre este video; espero sea la primera & última vez que lo haga. Mis comentarios serán basados en Lógica, en 29 años vividos en el Régimen Comunista/Dictatorial/Militar Cubano, y en 9 años vividos en USA. Comentaré a partir de afirmaciones, que hace Elián, que me llaman la atención y me maravilla como puede hablar sobre Política en público, y para el mundo entero, sin tener el más mínimo conocimiento de esta, y desde la ignorancia absoluta. Primeramente señalar lo único sensato que habla es obre el Amor por la Familia (no sé si sea sincero o parte del guión). 1 - No hay muchos problemas que sean del Régimen Cubano, simplemente todos los problemas son del Régimen Cubano. Y se resumen en un solo problema: "Dictadura Comunista/Militar". Se ha demostrado, a lo largo de la Historia Universal, que con ese tipo de Dictaduras no se negocia, simplemente se aplica la Fuerza Militar. Desafortunadamente, las Potencias u Organizaciones Militares Internacionales no tienen el más mínimo interés en la Dictadura de Cuba. 2 - Nada se manipula sobre de Cuba en el Gobierno de USA. En 9 años nunca he escuchado mencionar a Cuba en ningún Medio de Comunicación Masiva Estadounidense que se respete. USA es una Potencia Global, tiene sufiicientes problemas internacionales serios de que ocuparse. Las medidas que le ha aplicado USA al Gobieno Cubano son las mismas que tú le aplicarías a un socio tuyo que le vendas un producto, y no te lo pague. Simplemente pierde el Crédito Financiero contigo, y no le vueles a vender otro producto hasta que no te pague en efectivo, y en tiempo real. Automáticamente lo pones en una lista de Mala Paga & Estafador. 3 - Cuba fue designada, en 1982, como Estado Patrocinador del Terrorismo debido a su larga historia de proveer Asesoramiento, Hospedaje, Comunicaciones, Entrenemiento, y Soporte Financiero (con su Pueblo pasando Hambre & Miseria) a Grupos Guerrilleros & Terroristas Individuales. Si emplearas un poco de tiempo en estudiar la Historia Universal y de Cuba, y no a repetir como un papagayo lo que habla un Dictador, pudieras tener un criterio propio. 4 - No tienes Conocimiento/Experiencia como para Legislar en un país. En las Dictaduras/Dinastías Coministas legisla la familia que tiene el Poder, y desde una posición de ignorancia & improvisación, que joden cada vez más al pueblo, y los hacen a ellos cada vez más ricos. Todos los Políticos, en todos los Sistemas Socio-Económicos, tienes un solo objetivo: Hacerse ricos con el mínimo de esfuerzo & inteligencia. Es la forma más fácil de hacerse rico. 5 - En Cuba no existe Bienestar ni Prosperidad desde 1959. Acaso no tienes ojos, o no sabes lo que significan esas palabras? 6 - El pueblo de USA no vive engañado sobre Cuba. La mayor parte ni sabe qué es Cuba, ni donde queda en el mapa. No se habla nada sobre Cuba en los Medio de Comunicación que consume el Pueblo de USA. Solo se habla de Cuba en TV Latina Chusma para desinformar, aún más, al Consumidor Latino ignorante que mira esos canales poco serios. 7 - Solo siente nostalgia el vago/parásito que llega a USA y quiere seguir siendo mantenido. Migran sin sentir añoranza los valientes, inteligentes, emprenedores, trabajadores, los Ganadores. Los que son lo suficientemente inteligentes como para saber que con un Pueblo Adoctrinado & Ignorante no se puede quitar una Dictadura. Este tipo de personas no pertenecen a Cuba, pertenecen a un Pais del Primer Mundo. Los vagos, ignorantes, adoctrinados, sin criterio propio, pertenecen a Cuba; y es ahí donde deben estar. USA no es la potencia más industrializada que ha conodido La Humanidad por casualidad, sino por la inteligencia, enfoque, determinación, y trabajo duro de los Inmigrantes de todo el mundo. El pueblo original de USA aún estuviera en Tapa-Rabos de no ser por emigrantes como nosotros. 8 - Nada se ha construído, todo fue destruído por un Sociópata Loco llamado Fidel Castro, y secundado por títeres ignorantes/adoctrinados como tú. 9 - El Capital Humano en Cuba se ha deformado, no formado. El Capital Humano hasta ha pedido los Valores Morales & Cívicos. Ese Adoctrinamiento & Estilo de Vida Parasítico está tan embebido en la sangre de la gran mayoría de los Cubanos (y eso me da ganas de llorar), que es altamente probable que se transmita, por herencia, hacia las próximas generaciones, y los lleve de vuelta a la Comunidad Primitiva. 9 - Que te hace pensar que tienes el derecho de hablar por los Cubanos que están en otros países democráticos? De donde sacas que quieren regresar? Solo quiere regresar el Perdedor que no tiene nada que aportar en una Sociedad del Primer Mundo, y que quiere seguir viviendo sin trabajar como un Parásito Mantenido. Mi recomendación, continúa viviendo en Cuba, que no tienes nada que aportar en otro lugar.

I always wanted to know why his mom took him. When I first heard of the story, I had assumed it was just Elian and his mom. I had no idea his dad was still around and fought for his son to be returned.

Es duro que esa madre se dio cuenta de la 💩 que se vive en cuba. Y arriesgo su vida para darle un mejor futuro a su hijo. Y mira el como le paga
Yo también marché por su regreso. Claro, yo era joven y manipulable cómo lo es él hoy. Sólo que a él lo usaron desde muy pequeño. Y aunque debería sentir pena por él, no logro que sea así, porque hoy él es quién intenta manipular al pueblo. Cuando dice que él a pasado por las misma carencias que cualquier ciudadano cubano, eso lo convierte en un mentiroso manipulador. Cuando repite las mentiras tras las que se escuda el gobierno para esconder sus ineficiencia, su caracter represivo y antidemocrático, lo convierte en un hipócrita mal agradecido. Yo me alegro que Elián tenga la formación que demuestra en ésta entrevista y le deseo que logre para el pueblo cubano la agenda que plantea tener. Es de la nueva cantera y como jóven, trae ímpetu. Pero siento reserva de que su infancia haya sido como la de cualquier niño, como dijo, mataperreando. Es posible que no recuerde, pero a familiares míos con adolescentes, todos espirituanos, estando en la playa trinitaria, no les permitieron entrar al área de la piscina del hotel "Ancón" ,como siempre lo hacían, argumentando que al niño Elián lo habían llevado con un grupo de amiguitos a bañarse en la piscina del hotel.
Miente Elian, eso le han enseñado. Miente en casi todo y por supuesto al decir que no vivió en una burbuja. Dos daticos rápidos acerca de la burbuja que sí vivió y de seguro vive: la casa de Elian (que le regalaron cuando lo devolvieron a Cárdenas) tuvo siempre un policía en frente, día y noche; y a la escuela siempre lo acompañaba un agente encubierto, que lo esperaba afuera para devolverlo a la casa... Eso no es vivir en una burbuja... No... Debe ser que los vigilaban para que no se volvieran a ir para USA. El embargo (que ellos llaman bloqueo) fué impuesto por el Gobierno Norteamericano y con razones lógicas al ser despojados sin compensación de propiedades norteamericanas en Cuba. @Brother Luis someone pushing back on the biggest terrorist organization ever(military industrial complex including big law enforcement) labeled by said organization as a terrorist is a big red flag and you may want to look deeper into the conditions that lead to said acts of push back against the bully.
