My Pranams to the worthy successors of Jon Higgins ( whom I used to know when he was in India). It is a wonderful tribute to that genius! May the Wesleyan group flourish in the world of Carnatic music!!
Beautiful rendition in the ragam Rudrapriya. I am thrilled with your wonderful diction Madam. God Bless You Madam. All accompanying artistes justified their presence well👍👌💐🏆👏🙏
My teacher who I have been learning from 20 years in India is Sarada Thota, and I also learned from Balraj Balasubramaniyyan for a couple of years in Wesleyan University, where I did this program. I learned that specific song from him.
Overall it's wonderful, great talent, but some constructive criticism: could improve a bit on pronunciation and greater hold on the curves in the raga, if you know what I mean.
hay rocs...the effort made to pursue such a great tradition is in itself great..especially when our young folks around are ducking behind hard rock..bugle rock and whatnot rocks...should feel ashamed to call themselves Indians... Do we value our rich heritage and culture??..Hats off to this sister from US...Namonnnamaha!!!!
Extraordinarily sung by a westerner, Madam sung very beautifully.Herculean effort and practice to sing in such a way.

WOW, just wow....I'm a north Indian and Carnatic music is as foreign to me as it is to a westerner in many ways. This is just an amazing rendition!!

Great rendition. Guitar is well handled to bring in the gamakam and it sounded exactly like veena. Good effort. Keep it up.

very nice - its not easy to sing this krithi - the sahityam, pace and the construct is somewhat difficult. Hence very appreciable.
May I know your Guru's identity, as it is missing in your provided information 🙏
