Couple of lads I know saw Rick up in St Andrews when BobDoesSports were over. The info is 3rd party but from guys I trust, but he was allegedly very arrogant, lack of respect, prickly and in my mates words 'someone who's due an ego check'. My only encounter with Rick was at 151 Open, asked for a picture, he'd clearly had a couple of cans, but when we very politely asked for a pic it was a big sigh and an 'If I have to' attitude. He's a big star, probably gets it all the time and it must suck when you just want to enjoy the golf but constantly being asked for pics, but man, remember you came from nothing and youre owed nothing in this life, being polite costs nothing. Side note - Peter Finch, biggest gent Ive ever met from the RUclips golf scene, what a star.

I had an altercation with Rick a few years back , he contacted another golf channel requested my phone number then ended up ringing me , All because it was clear he copied one of my intros from one of my videos and I said something about it , and the talk about buying subscribers was floating around , fair to say he’s not a fan of me anymore ,,, but why was he so bothered by me ,,, a nobody in the yet golf world

Met Rick at the open at st Andrew’s and was so rude. I also met tubes and ange, Pete finch, Dan Hendrickson and lester barnes and all were great and had a good chat. I had a fitting at titleist woburn for wedges and I felt like a tour pro, no rush took all the time I wanted, they made sure I had the best clubs for me
I had the pleasure of meeting Rick just prior to him teeing off at Caldy GC for open qualifying, he was very approachable and had time for a quick word with me and shook his hand and wished him well. I have nothing but praise for the man.

Why/How did the vid manage to get posted? On another note, I have met both Rick & G and they were both really nice guys, very good company and not dismissive or rude at all. If he was playing the same courses as a lot of the people in the comment section are (likely including yourself) with the zero pressure he'd be shooting scratch or under pretty consistently. What I struggle with is yes the growing arrogance but also the fact that Rick and Guy seem to think they invented Golf and own RUclips Golf. there’s a big growth and shift in RUclips Golf and I think he’s being left behind by his own actions.
It was like he was finally confronted with the reality he's not as good a golfer as he thinks he is, because he was given a bunch of different heads, shafts, lie angles and lofts and hit it shit with all of them. But being an arrogant self-absorbed SOB he projected that anger on to the fitter. A few weeks later an he bins off his Break 75 probably for the same reason: realising his ambition outstrips his talent.

RUclips golf is about to go mad 😂 I think you hit the nail on the head with youtube golf is in a place where theres not much ground which hasnt been covered. Rick did well as he was pioneering it with production quality etc. But now everyone else is there or there abouts. The most successful channels at the moment are driven by great personalities and social aspects. Forebrothers, golf life, good good, bob does sports. Think Rick is struggling as he genuinely just seems like hes not enjoying golf.

Cascade is the hotel literally on the golf course & night golf. There is SO MUCH to do there mate with the kids and family… diving, snorkelling, paintball, go karting, sand buggies and that’s not even scratching the surface. I think the Kepinski is the best hotel we were told. Followed closely by Cascade and some others. But to be closer to the golf Cascade is rhe best option

I met Rick in Center Parcs, bumped in to him at the bar. I said “hi mate, love the channel” and that was it. He wasn’t with his kids nor was I interrupting family time etc. and he just grunted. Guys a bell end and clearly up his own arse.
My personal experiences of Rick are far removed from some of the comments. Got chatting to him on X about a fitting I had booked for the stealth 2 at American Golf and he came down to the store off his own back to watch the fitting and see if I could get the mythical extra 20 yards. He went through my numbers, gave me some tips on my setup and was genuinely a top bloke. Bumped into him a couple of times and he's always come across well.
Rick Sheils has become too arrogant and many of his subscribers no doubt have noticed that. He also has the most annoying voice. Guy Charnock carriers the show. Always stay humble.
Saw through “Prick Shiels” pretty early on whenever anyone beat him at anything. He got me back in to golf but unsubscribed from all his channels a good while ago.

Playing 7000+ yard courses off the back tees for the first time, I think he does pretty alright for his level. I feel like so many people think Rick is playing the equivalent to their home course lol.
Going on about your tips… I played golf about 10 years ago I was playing twice a week, driving was perfect most holes irons was ok. Iv got back into it the last year/two video comes up on RUclips/tik tok and my head in fried on the course everything is going through my head stood over the ball, driver going left right most of the time I’m hitting like 1 decent drive out 18! Social media tips are a nightmare 😭😂

I met Rick in Center Parcs, bumped in to him at the bar. I said “hi mate, love the channel” and that was it. He wasn’t with his kids nor was I interrupting family time etc. and he just grunted. Guys a bell end and clearly up his own arse.

My personal experiences of Rick are far removed from some of the comments. Got chatting to him on X about a fitting I had booked for the stealth 2 at American Golf and he came down to the store off his own back to watch the fitting and see if I could get the mythical extra 20 yards. He went through my numbers, gave me some tips on my setup and was genuinely a top bloke. Bumped into him a couple of times and he's always come across well.
Rick Sheils has become too arrogant and many of his subscribers no doubt have noticed that. He also has the most annoying voice. Guy Charnock carriers the show.
Always stay humble.
Saw through “Prick Shiels” pretty early on whenever anyone beat him at anything. He got me back in to golf but unsubscribed from all his channels a good while ago.
He was fit for TM stealth by the TM boys in Dubai. He went and reviewed it with a different spec and wasn’t so complimentary on it. He’s a chop.

I saw the video and this has been blown way out of proportion. My guess is there was a mix up with his team and Rick didn't want a vid out there that put Titleist in a bad light. Seen enough of Rick's videos to know he ain't the best RUclips golfer out there, but laughable when people really lay it on him like he's a total bin man. Playing 7000+ yard courses off the back tees for the first time, I think he does pretty alright for his level. I feel like so many people think Rick is playing the equivalent to their home course lol.

Going on about your tips… I played golf about 10 years ago I was playing twice a week, driving was perfect most holes irons was ok. Iv got back into it the last year/two video comes up on RUclips/tik tok and my head in fried on the course everything is going through my head stood over the ball, driver going left right most of the time I’m hitting like 1 decent drive out 18! Social media tips are a nightmare 😭😂

I’ve been a big fan of Rick shiels for probably about 6 years now but that titleist fitting video really put me off him.
From the off was thinking why’s he making the fitters life a hell here being a complete pri*k with him. Opened my eyes to what he may actually be like. Nailed it lads and well done for bringing it up and speaking about it. I’d forgot about that video after I left a comment on it myself, them removing it says it all
