Jisne haal philal me Death Note dekha ho to ye expectation le ke mat jana ki Death Note dekhne ja rahe ho, Death Note aur Code Geass viewers ko different chize deliver karna chahte hai, kuch elements same hai but anime bahut alag hai, DN is a suspense, thriller and phycological anime while CG is war, drama and thriller anime. DN is mainly an anime between two people, I know it has more than L and Light but the selling point of DN was the fight between them, it fell hard after L's death anyway. On the other hand Code geass is different kind of anime, it doesn't restrict itself with one antagonist, the story is about Lelouch and definitely puts him in light but other characters are important too, Let me spoil a little bit ,even side characters like villeta had their own development and no fucking person could have imagine Jeremiah to become a chad character from a sub villain, you will get it watching the anime. Besides, while code geass is primarily a war drama it has elements of many genre, it has action, romance, sci fi, some ecchi, some harem, some one side lesbian shit too(you are going to hate this thing while watching), high school, slice of life etc.
Besides, strikin difference beteen lelouch and light is that, while Light turned into a villain who wants nothing but the world to listlen to him, Lelouch never went stray from his motive and didn't become corrupt like him and one more thing While lelouch is super intelligent, he is also very emotional, he took some stupid decision while knowing that he should do that due to his emotions. Lelouch rarely feels relatable, but he is definitely admirable.

Has way better ending(probably the best in the anime and my fav in any medium)

Better dialouges
Better opening songs
You can't find flaws within Lelouch plans, you might consider them to be nearly impossible to achieve but not a flaw in the plan itself.

Direction
Some acrs are streched without a reason while some happen too fast to understand everything(specially in season 2 where you won't be able to keep up with the events, they happens too fast since there are multiple characters and everyone has their own brain and heart.
Has good ost but isn't iconic as DN, since it has too many osts(like over 70), none of them are able to give a lasting experience except the last two(Madder sky and symphony) which played during the ending and not some thing which can be played in many situations like you can do with L or light themes.
For some people art style could be problem at start but once you watch even 1st episode you won't care about it.
Slow start after two episode and isn't catchy as Death Note, some people find starting 7 episodes to be boring.
Don't explain characters thought so you have to guess them yourselves with their actions. That is why some character action also feels dumb unless you don't view things from their perspective.
Code Geass is my favorite anime so I might have been a little biased but that's how I feel about it. Code Geass is not perfect, it has its flaws such as one time it showed lazy writing(Kamine islands incident). But I just love it.
Code geass is 2006 this old I really loved amazing ❤ drama, romane, action. ❤❤❤❤
