you unlocked my (deeply, DEEPLY ingrained) memory of the LPS VIP game so thank you for that 😭it almost feels like a fever dream because i basically forgot that game right after its closure. it never once popped back into my mind in the last decade(+) until now. things like the house design & adoption page sparked something in me because its all too familiar to be a coincidence. its funny seeing how crude its graphics were in comparison to LPSO.
I grew up with this game, it was my first virtual world I played and I have memories of buying those plushies. I am really eager to see the revived project, this game had so much potential if i’m being honest!
I played both LPS vips and LPSO when i was 11-12, I really wish they could bring back both games, but seeing LPSO revived is coming back, brings such a strong sense of nostalgia to my younger self!!, great informational video!

found this video because i was intentionally searching for lpso and… man you weren’t kidding about there not being a lot of information out there right now. i’ve been watching a lot of virtual world content lately but no one else that i can tell has ever brought this one up, but it was my go-to. so surprised it only lasted two years? also, regarding what you said about funny chat work around, i remember so vividly how other kids would wanna talk about amazing world of gumball and ask other kids if they had seen recent episodes or something, but we’re forced instead to say “go mum ball”. my memory’s pretty poor but that little phrase is burned into my brain
Lol that's funny. I played the barbie mmo for a bit and it had a similar kind of chat system, so there are still some random odd phrases from then that occasionally appear in my brain lol
LPSO was everything to me, I remember at one point they were either giving away all the pets for free due to the game ending or I found codes (I can’t even remember 😭) but it was such a rush getting so many. I don’t really remember the games but I remember talking to people and playing in my house. logging on one day to see it had been cancelled with no warning (to me at least, maybe I just couldn’t figure out it was closing) was so sad, I kept logging on every day of weeks waiting for it to come back… waited a few years before realising it was never coming back
God I LOVED this game! It was so laggy though lmao sometimes it wasnt even playable
Even though I’ve never played LPSO, I find this site interesting as someone who was a big club penguin player back in the day! I love seeing toylike retrospectives like this. I hope you consider doing more in the future! Excellent video!

I loved club penguin! To this day I still play animal jam which is another game this reminded me of. I remember when you could get codes and toys for animal jam. My lps mascot is actually an LPSO pet! I think the lpso pets were very unique and had cool designs and the plush were just so cute as well.

As someone who played both, I remember the atmosphere of LPSO being a lot like Club Penguin! People would get into pretend relationships and adopt others and such 😭 a strange time to be online, but i loved the game a lot! And NO ONE talks about it. For a while, i almost thought i made the whole thing up in my mind. I miss her everyday 💔
I remember as a kid how excited I was when I finally got my VIP pet! (I had the bunny and later got the ladybug!) Imagine my sorrow not long after when they shut down the VIP world. 🥺😭 I was so sad! I had hardly played at all. (Though to be 100% honest, it was soooo slow to load an very VERY laggy 😂)
I just randomly remembered this game and looked it up to find this. I used to be OBSESSED and looked forward to playing it after school.
I was like 4 or 5 years old when I played the first site. I really don't know why I remembered playing this randomly. I remember running in the grass and someone following me, but really, nothing more

I was a huge LPSO player at the time for the second year of its life and i was in a country that didnt have the premium toys and I could only ever get premium membership with some codes that were passed around from blog to blog! It was a fun ride honestly... I wish someone could rewrite the world somehow. I just miss playing it. Does anyone who played remember how Waggington had a different soundtrack at first but they randomly changed it one day to a rather eerie one? Lol Idk why i found that soundtrack so eerie as a kid.
UGH i miss this game so badly!! this was one of my first virtual worlds, I had like 4 of the plushes. god i miss it. the music in this video is so nostalgic

I remember LPSO as well but I never really got into it until it was about to be canceled. I probably would have gotten more into it, but I had beef with that white cat character in the game for no reason
Lolol yeah for some reason in a lot game footage I found from around the time it was shut down, I noticed a lot of people were like "it's all Felina's fault" so it seems you were not alone in that

This was really interesting to watch as someone who never played lpso. I feel like kids' online games like lpso used to be such a popular thing and then they all just kinda disappeared. The plushies are super cute though, I'd love to get one someday. I'd really like to see more lps related retrospective videos like this!!

I loved that game so much! My parents had let me play it when I was only 5 (I played until I was 7 which was when the game shut down) so my memory of it isn't super detailed or anything. However it was my absolute favorite thing ever!!! I remember having the most fun just exploring the 2 available worlds, since you could interact with so many objects and things besides the basic minigames. Another thing I remember vividly was the loading screen, which would sometimes be a minigame with Felina Murchant (i think?? or some other cat character) bouncing a ball of yarn.
I also had several of those plushies with the codes on them, but I had to get rid of all but when due to my family wanting to move and the possible issue of storage space. I still have the zebra one!

My favorite part of LPSO in retrospect was the music, especially the theme. I was listening to Time 'n' Place by Kero Kero Bonito and some songs instantly reminded me of LPSO. I really recommend anyone who wants the relive that feeling of logging on to listen to "visiting hours" off that album. Thanks for making this video and exploring the aspects of this game!
Omg you brought back so many memories! I thought I played LPSO when I was younger but now that I watched your video I realized I actually played LpsVip. I used to have both the cat plush that came out for LpsVip. Wow I feel old...

I love this video cause I myself was looking into this and not a while back I stumbled upon a discord server where they are trying to recreate these games and they have advanced quite a lot creating codes and sprites, i’m not sure if the discord server is still active but I thought it was interesting
I still remember playing the lps online games and Wii game (I still have my VIP plush and the Wii game!)

i was in love with LPSO i was devastated when it shut down
one little cool piece of trivia that i can remember from when i was a kid is if you bought OTHER lps games (i had lps biggest stars 3 [pink team & blue team] on the DS) and the games would come with a little bonus code FOR lpso where you could get extra pets, extra furniture and extra stuff related to the DS game. it was cool :]
I either had a glitch or misunderstood one of the quests because I never unlocked kittywood and it really frustrated me, I remember having to find something for one of the quests and I thought I found it but I kept clicking it and nothing happened. but I was only 8 so I probably misunderstood 😅
I asked other kids for help unlocking kittywood and some of them just told me to do the quests, others didn't know themselves and gave me wrong info. my friends would leave me to go to kittywood 😂😭

I had the VIP cat and I was mad when they replaced VIP with LPSO. I remember the DS and Wii games a lot better.
I still have my Webkinz account I had since I was 7. I preferred the junior version that came out a couple years later (the characters had different design/plushes were bigger), although I got locked out of that account in 2010 because I didn't know the parent account that was required in order to add new pets.
Omg I loved lps vip! I had so many hours in that game! It was lots of fun and I loved the idea of adopting both a virtual pet and a plushie irl! I wish they would bring back that game!!😭
I used to play this game and was so confused why the url wasn't working anymore since I was a kid and I would dedicate hours of my day for weeks scrolling through the littlest pet shop site trying to access it i didn't even have the paid features I think it was just so cute and fun
I never played LPSO (I don’t think I knew it existed back then), but I played a lot of similar games, like Fantage, Moshi Monsters, Animal Jam, and Build-a-Bearville.
i played both vips & lpso! the penguin was my first ever plush. i still have her. her name is penny :-) i also have most of the other plushies!
LPS Vips was the best! Later on, some toys came with little buddies that would follow your primary pet! I never got any the toys for LPSO, I just continued making new accounts (everytime you made an account you would spin a wheel and you could get a myriad of awards including free membership trial codes & free create-a-pet) so I could keep getting the cool pets!
i sadly didn't played LPSO,i was younger lately(same goes for petpet park,moshi monsters,and club penguin!)😔

I actually played LPSO. I had the lps set and two of the plushies. I was really sad when it shut down.
I begged my mom for a VIP pet and when I finally got it the site closed shortly after 😭😭😭😭
now that i think about it, they probably shut down lpso BECAUSE of the 2012 reboot, it wouldnt fit the brand anymore and would be way too expensive to rework the entire game to match it

i got the brown ish horse at a mexican flea market too, the plush was actually cheap, 10 pesos
did anyone else play the mini games hasbro had separately? There was one with two pandas, one where you were a mouse that had to pop balloons so the cat didn't get you, there was one with like bunnies and carrots and one other one. I'm trying to find anything about it ANYWHERE. but I literally can't.
On moshi monsters they had a game arcade with like flash games on it and amongst them was this game with an LPS monkey peeling bananas and eating them? And thats it that's what the game was, just a really simple game but it was odd it was LPS

Man me n my sister played LPSO as kids. It was fun to just hang n talk to ppl mostly since we didn’t get the premium vip, we couldn’t really get the cool stuff. We both had so many online “bf/gf’s” 💀💀💀 it was so stupid but good memories lmao
