      This van wasn't equipped with steering wheel controls, but if it was, you would need a separate module to allow you that functionality with a radio thats compatible. Modules like the Axxess ASWC-1 would allow you to keep those buttons functional on the steering wheel.

      I don't think you can, I inherited a 2001 T&C and the factory stereo died after only a few years, so my dad put in an aftermarket, but from then on the CD changer didn't work. I tried looking for a radio that will communicate with the factory CD 4 disk changer but found nothing. I bought a used factory stereo and I am in the process of installing it. If you find a solution let me know-hope this helps

    My 2005 dodge grand caravan stereo stopped playing any sound. Just below the stereo is the DVD player too. I guess there is no fuse to replace in the back of stereo? Or do I have to buy a new stereo..

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  7 лет назад

      Well if the radio isn't turning on, generally it is a fuse. But if the stereo and DVD player boots up but no sound, sounds like an issue with your radio. There isn't fuses on the back of the factory radio, unless it is an aftermarket one. Factory fuses are in the fuse panel.

    • @johnw3794
      @johnw3794 7 лет назад

      Provo Beast Audio Installation ya the DVD player is separate down below. It plays dvds still but no sound. As for the stereo. The radio has no sound. And no sound for cds.i checked fuses in the engine. Replaced 1 that says "rdo" assuming it means radio fuse?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

    What about that bonding strap? I didn't see you hook that back up?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 лет назад +1

      The factory boding strap had mainly two purposes, provided an additional ground as well as used as an additional level of security. There was really no point to hooking it up to the new radio, although if you really want to, i guess you could.

      What trim you have kinda matters, Infinity speaker systems are amped and will cause problems/complicate.
      so will a oem dvd changer.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  7 лет назад +1

      Even with the infinity systems, the factory amp takes the 4 channel signal from the radio and still will retain the factory tweeters. It doesn't complicate it either, as this model still uses the same harness adapter, regardless of the amplified infinity system or not.

    • @GTTwincam
      @GTTwincam 7 лет назад +1

      Yeah i just looked up the wiring and you're totally right, thought it was wired like my Audi with Bose which is a total mess to do anything with.
      Actually did a amp, Pioneer 5.25" in the dash and 4 Ground Zero 6x9" in my wifes 06 GV yesterday and it was so easy to do I'm kinda shocked.
