  • *19 Days of Building a Telecommunications Tower - Step by Step*
Building a telecommunications tower is a BOT project and a logistical and technical challenge that requires precise planning and daily team commitment. We’ve just completed our project in only 19 days! Here’s how each day unfolded:
*Day 1 - Preparing the Access Road*
We began the construction by preparing an access road. Due to terrain differences, we had to remove the top layer of soil and lay a road using concrete and wooden slabs.
*Day 2 - Clearing and Excavating the Foundation*
We removed the top layer of soil, conducted surveying work, and then proceeded to excavate the pit for the foundation.
    *Day 3 - Ground Compaction*
After leveling the terrain, we started compacting the ground. The surveyor precisely measured the height and level for the lean concrete layer to ensure compliance with the design.
*Day 4 - Pouring Lean Concrete*
We poured the lean concrete, which serves as a base for the foundation. The process was overseen by the supervising inspector and the site manager, who confirmed the quality of the work.
*Day 5 - Preparing Grounding and Reinforcement*
We worked on preparing the grounding ring and assembling the foundation reinforcement. We also stabilized the anchors to which the tower will be attached.
*Day 6 - Continued Foundation Work*
We continued with the reinforcement work and anchor stabilization. Each stage was carefully inspected by the supervising authority.
*Day 7 - Preparing for Foundation Pouring*
We completed the formwork and prepared everything for the concrete pouring. The supervising inspector approved the setup, marking readiness for the next step.
*Day 8 - Pouring the Foundation*
The lower foundation slab was poured and protected against frost. We then moved on to working on the tower footings.
*Day 9 - Removing the Formwork*
After a short break, we returned to dismantle the formwork. This required precision to avoid damaging the freshly poured concrete.
*Day 10 - Cleaning the Foundation*
We cleaned and polished the foundation. The supervising inspector approved it without reservations, confirming it met the project’s specifications.
    *Day 11 - Waterproofing*
We applied a waterproofing layer to the foundation to protect it from moisture and to prepare for further earthworks.
*Day 12 - Completing Foundation Work*
The foundation was accepted by the investor. We finished by backfilling the foundation and preparing the area for the tower assembly.
*Day 13 - Waiting for Equipment*
Difficult weather conditions didn’t allow for a break. Despite rain and snow, we managed to backfill the foundation while waiting for the tower structure to arrive, maintaining the project schedule.
    *Day 14 - Site Preparation*
We organized the site and prepared everything for the tower assembly. The structure arrived, signaling the beginning of the final stages.
    *Day 15 - Tower Unloading*
We unloaded the tower and inspected all structural components. Everything was ready for assembly.
*Day 16 - Assembling the Tower*
We began assembling the tower in a horizontal position, ensuring all elements were precisely aligned before lifting it.
*Day 17 - Erecting the Tower*
The tower was successfully erected using a crane at 7 PM. The work was carried out under challenging nighttime conditions, but the deadline was met. The crane operator worked several meters below without a direct view of the tower’s base, requiring precise coordination from the team.
*Day 18 - Installing Active Equipment*
We installed the active equipment on the tower and tested its functionality. Everything operated as planned.
    *Day 19 - Project Completion*
The final day involved tidying the site, checking all elements, and summarizing the project. The tower was officially completed. The entire area was restored to its original condition, and the project was delivered on time. This is a BOT tower, meaning the build, operation, and transfer were carried out as agreed.
    *Tower Function*
The tower will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of Polish airspace. Equipped with state-of-the-art active equipment, it supports monitoring and communication for both defense and civil systems.
Each day was a step forward in achieving our goal. You can follow photos from each day on our profile. The tower stands firm and ready for use, and we’re proud to move on to our next challenges. Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success!
