@@Userdoesnotexit Well... Yes, if you're someone who's already have experience (either with digital drawing or animation)... People really don’t realize just how much work actually goes into this stuff. Producing some of the most sought after and praised media in recent times, and yet, the ones doing the endless work rarely see ample pay or respect.
I've always respected anime just for the amount of talent and time that goes into the animation. I make pretty simple animations and even those can take hours or even days, so I can't even imagine making a whole series or movie with that level of detail
@@ashvish8856 it's not their fault, production committee of an anime decide how much time they will give to animators to work, and in the case of Aot they gave them absolute worse schedule,I'm not making this up making 16 episodes in 10 months of time spam is impossible to make but they still made it. Why did they still make this show? Because they are passionate about it. It takes me atleast 8 hours to draw something, and they have to make 100s of these drawings everyday 💀 That's why I respect animators working in Japanese animation industry. Also the latest episode looks absolutely phenomenal, why did it look good? Because they were allotted enough time
Imagine doing this level of work and quality, and then being paid below the minimum wage. The anime industry really needs to pay it's workers more, or else its going to take even longer for shows to come out There isn't a worker shortage, the studios are just cheap and exploitative
I tend to prefer Japanese animation over Western animation, but I think it’s unfair to dismiss Western animation as lazy flash or calarts shows. There are good productions in the West, and also most anime has become an international venture not only with outsourcing to cheaper countries but also hiring great animators from Korea, China, Europe, the Americas and other areas. Studio Saru’s Scott Pilgrim was directed by Abel Gongora, a fellow Spaniard and a long term veteran in Saru. Also, I might be wrong here, but from what I heard it’s not the norm to start animating before the storyboard is completed. This is something that Miyazaki does but I think he’s kind of an outlier and has caused some production issues.
i did short few frames animation which lasts only for few seconds and even then it was tiring. drawing every frame making sure it looks ok when it comes to movement. then cleaning up rough sketches adding details. doing lineart and then cloring shadows and lighting while making sure there is no uncolored gaps left. the MOST tiring thing about this was DOING ALL OF THESE FOR EVERY FRAME all this was for few seconds animation. and now imagine 24 minute for however many episodes
Animation in general isn't getting enough appreciation - and in the western world it's still not treated equally to live action. I wish we had a more diverse animation film and TV landscape instead of tons of animated adult series that are basically variations of the Simpsons.

The process of animating anime is a process
exactly
people die when they are killed
Yes the floor here is made out of floor
The air is breathing air
