Another genius not known to the general public. Could you help me find the second piece he played? Mongore'? Which piece please. Thank you Daniele Magli. Grazie tanti. PS: I believe the guitar he's playing is one by Manuel Contreras after he left Ramirez, in Madrid in 1959?
Superb guitarist, teacher, guitar designer (he is playing a guitar of his design) and composer. He had many important students, Berta Rojas being one of the finest. Even in this old recording, Carlevaro's exceptional tone and phrasing are evident
His performance is full of inspiration and South American flavor---Brazilian like taste. Great guitarist. Too bad I didn't know him until listening to this post.
interesting sound, i guess it was a relatively loud guitar, which fitted well to Carlevaro's character. Was he a charming person? His play and his pedagogical ideas suggests a character who values control.
Great!
Thanks for posting this. Unfamiliar with him until now. Interesting guitar and compositions.
Thank you for posting! I studied with Maestro Carlevaro in 1982.
I studied with maestro Carlevaro at that time
That's very cool, I thought the musically was perfect for prelude no 3.
I taught Don Carlevaro in 1962.

The Villa-Lobos piece he played at the beginning is the Prelude No.3 in A minor.
@@chrisjames789 I know. But I refer to the third track where the inscription studio 1 HVB appears
Ciao Giovanni, credo sia uno studio dello stesso Carlevaro "omaggio a Heitor Villa-Lobos"

@@giovannibarrios5003 Grazie, no conosco la musica di Carlevaro.
