The obvious hiding place for every clone should have been the citadel, since there, every Rick is the real Rick. the fact that none of them thought about it suggest the terrestrial adventures line, was legit.

You said it perfectly at the beginning "It doesn't fucking matter" when talking about whether we're following the same Rick and Morty..lol, they just wanna make stuff, screw constantly having to worry about continuity and stuff.
So this episode was like a lot of the others in that it is a literal and metaphoric representation of the creative process to create a story. In the beginning, they are sitting around the table (the writers table/kitchen table). They pitch the idea to kill the Christian God. That idea is literally shot down (by squids). Then, we get the Mr. Needs to be Hunted idea. Rick comments that the bit is funny but too similar to other ideas and that it wouldn't last long (just like writers would do after pitching an idea). Then, in the car, Jerry is stuck on Mr. Needs to be Hunted and the details of him like a particular writer may be that's not understanding a pitch. Rick says it doesnt matter because theyve moved on to higher stakes. My favortite part is Rick pulling out the white board that writers' rooms always have, and drawing a rough storyboard and a bunch of notes just like he is writing the story within the epside itself. Dan Harmon is obsessed with his method for crafting a solid narrative, self aware deprecation of his and society's faults and meta 4th wall breaking commentary on art within itself, and this episode is alot like last season's story train episode in bringing that method to life.
Now that you point that out, I totally see that and love it much more than the story train. The story train episode was little to close to high concept of exploring the writing process.
This was constant laughs for me. Great episode even though it was more like an episodic adventure but it was done in a really creative way. Felt like 5 minutes and the Jerry after credit story cracked me up too.
I like the little detail that one of the Ricks said about decoy families only having terrestrial adventures and in the end we a family in space proving that they are the real family

Knowing Rick A decoy family was probably just living their lifes and something inconsequential happened but it was just on point enough to tick off that decoy Rick that maybe they are being hunted for being decoys, which launched them into hunting decoys and eventually a rick thought off dressing up as squid to not tick off the rest of the decoys of what was happening

Tbf it seems like he was still in a low earth orbit. It's possible he lacked the ability to leave the planet's gravity/orbit. Even if he could make it to space you can make the argument that unless he breaks free of earth's gravity and travels within the solar system or interstellar space he is still technically on a "terrestrial adventure". But it's also possible he was able to travel farther.

I feel like this is right up there with the story train episode where the point is continuity doesn’t really matter. There’s a loose canon but it feels like the creators are taking more shots at people who overthink the show and try to follow the structure of a more narratively-driven show (like HBO shows).

This episode is a real WTF I couldn't understand almost the entire episode and it's like a Mobius strip plus I cannot tell who is the real characters and who were just a decoy
the ones in space were the originals. the rest are decoys. The last ones to die, the ones with the whip and lightsaber and stuff, were the first decoys, because when mr. wants to be hunted killed them, the space family (the real ones) got the notification.

This episode is a real WTF I couldn't understand almost the entire episode and it's like a Mobius strip plus I cannot tell who is the real characters and who were just a decoy
the ones in space were the originals. the rest are decoys.
The last ones to die, the ones with the whip and lightsaber and stuff, were the first decoys, because when mr. wants to be hunted killed them, the space family (the real ones) got the notification.
So the last Decoy Family that died was the 1st decoy family created. I never peeped it before
lots of Westworld reference including the Jerry End scene. This episode is a scifi version of the Us movie with Highlander rules.
