if you're considering this build, remember you should probably be running 1 ton axles with 40" tires (unless it's full time mall crawler???) ! Love the smiles when you put the pedal to the metal! That's why we do this.
@@Halfwheelhellas he more or less said in the video, he’s running a Ford 9 inch rear with 35 spline shafts and 5.43 gears and a Dana 44 front with chromoly shafts. I agree, that might do it on the street, but if he pushes it on the trail he’ll eventually have no choice but to upgrade.
Its amazing what you can get away with when your mindful of your drivetrain; however, don't get me wrong, one-ton axles would have been a great upgrade, however, for the time being, I wanted to see how our parts from Tom's Offroad hold up :)
Met Jason at the Supercel. Glad to see you guys having fun. The 408 was my first choice to replace my 351W, then the Godzilla came along. What transfercase are you running after the 6R80?
I was in a similar boat. I bought a 427W stroker when the Godzilla first came out, but due to COVID it took me 1.25 years to actually get it. I immediately sold it and bought a Godzilla. I already had the 6R80, but the adapter kits for SBF engines all have their share of problems. So why not get a high displacement engine that’s made to bolt directly to it? You won’t be disappointed!
@@hossbronco I considered the different options, but at the end of the day, I wanted something I can work on - no computers (besides 6R80 controller), and plus I already had the adapters from my 302 that were utilized on this 408.
So awesome Jase, good job!!
Wow, nice bronco build!
It sure is!

True, I’m sure that’s on his list one day.
@@TheBronCast Oh, I figured he had done and it just wasn't mentioned, and just wanted viewers to add that into the costs for those massive meats!

Right now I am running the Dana 20 with all new gears from Toms Offroad - I am sure an Atlas will be knocking at my door before too long!
