I enlisted in the Union Army at the Fort Sisseton Historical Festival.

In the first weekend in June, cavalry troops and infantry units converge on the grounds of Fort Sisseton in South Dakota to form a military encampment as part the three-day event that includes military drills, chuckwagon dinners, melodrama stage shows, period dance instruction classes, and a military costume ball.
