you can also just rubber band your entire head, then use a crochet needle to pull the hair through your own hair and twist, its more secure and you can vary in tightness, but your method works great if you don’t have a crochet needle! very pretty, i do this hairstyle a lot , its a great easy protective style.
Omg. This method is a game changer. I have been struggling trying to do twists in my hair because I for some reason I can’t grip well. Girl, you have saved me some money. I just ordered some hair and will try this method. Great music too.
Girl I had to turn up my brightness, put the phone in full screen and literally rewatch 3:24-3:55 abt three times & omg this method is a game changer! I've tried the rubber band method before, but not like this. Very clever thank you.
The colored hair spray is SO SMART!!! I love dying my hair, but also love braids so I've always struggled with my real hair showing. I'm going to be doing this next week, thank you!
There’s so many rubber band method videos, but yours is the only one that does it like this- without having to braid the hair in at the roots. I just want to say thank youuuuu! My natural hair is down to my shoulders, but I’m hoping this method still works for me. 🤞🏽 I’ll be trying it tomorrow once I make it to the hair store for some more Jam!
You are a hairstylist. I became a hairstylist at 12 years old and I was license by Georgia at age 25. I’m now 48. You just show me something new and I appreciate it beautiful work beautiful demonstration great job thank you. You are a smart hairstylist
I like how you apply the rubber band in the middle of the twists and the coverage is very natural. When I do this and record the video I will be sure to let you know when it's up so you can see the results I had. Thanks for sharing this content :)
Omg Toni you are a darling! I was literally having a conversation with my friend yesterday about how I need to learn how to braid my own har with extensions and this video just teaches me exactly that, in an even simpler method. Love you so much! Thanks for this 😘
I’m so excited to try this, always been somewhat insecure of not wearing a wig because I feel I can control how much forehead to show but this I can definitely do 💕
You made it look so easy! I am going to attempt to do it myself. I’ve already done yarn braids successfully so this shouldn’t be too bad especially with the rubber band method. Also, I’m so glad you showed us what it looks like not blow dried. It looks just as fabulous 😊✨
I like your version of the rubber band method. Creative. And your blending method of the hair left out. Definently going to try, I get my hair on Monday!! Thanks girl great video!
Bless you for sharing this tutorial! I never do my own hair, but it's past time for my current crochet hairstyle to be taken down so I'm trying to find easy protective styles. Also, your makeup in the second half of the video!!! I'll definitely need to check and see if you've done any tutorials for a similar style look, if not, I really hope you upload one!
Thank you for posting this video! I finally did the "big chop" so now my hair is the same length as yours. I was looking for a hairstyle that I could do by myself (while on lockdown) to get me through this short length period. I appreciate the step-by-step video. Stay safe!
Wowwwww brilliant idea on spraying it black👍🏾It turned out nice sis👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. You have a video on wingliner cuz I swear you are the best on you tube w/ that damn liner
that black hair spray is geniussssss! i always avoided dyeing my hair because im not good at tucking, does it stain your pillows? how long does it last and how do i remove it?
This video came on my recommendation. Lovely job! I currently have box braids I did on myself using the rubberband method and crochet. This method I def want to try.
You look so darn pretty and gorgeous on your natural looks. You totally didn't need all that makeup in the end. Just natural beauty looks so so good on you. I'm definitely going to try your diy
Can you link the artists singing in the background. They deserve a shout-out. Also, can put up a link where you found your hair jewelry. Thanks. Great protective style
That was perfect ,quick , beautiful and easy . And still look okay with the blonde , I’m two tone type of person , so that would’ve been out the door . But cute 💁🏽♀️
Love that you took the time to put oil on your rubber bands but that goes to say you should have definitely gotten a crochet needle to help with the process.. cute look love! ❤️
I absolutely love this! I struggle with doing my own hair, but in the process of trying to grow it out again now. I’m going to try this today, praying it comes out nice like yours!!!! Lol ❤️❤️
these are beautiful! You did a great job! Those parts are perfect 😍 but giirl show me how to add them shells again 👀 I cant figure it our for nothing lol
I just ordered this hair! I'm glad I only ordered 2 bc I already had 2 regular packs. I definitely should have enough for my big head lol. I'm glad to see how long they can turn out. Thank you for posting this. I'm definitely going to do my hair when I'm feeling better.
For a future video could you give an update video of the braids later on possibly, it can include what you liked and disliked about the style, did it get tangled easily or not, stuff like that. Great video btw!
hi! i really enjoyed the tutorial, very easy ! i am just done doing mine but i would like to know if i need to put some mousse in my hair before putting my scarf on

It works for some but it is really easy to rip out your hair with them
I prefer her method. I always have breakage with the crochet method 😭
this method is to actually hide the rubber band and make it appear like it was done like regular rope twist
This way it wont be too tight different person different method
How do u remove tge rubber band from ur hair without brkge?...i think its pretty....
Omg. This method is a game changer. I have been struggling trying to do twists in my hair because I for some reason I can’t grip well. Girl, you have saved me some money. I just ordered some hair and will try this method. Great music too.
You look like you could be the older sister of Ski Jackson.
Thought the exact same thing
I thought I was the only one that thought that!
So true

LOOOOL girl!
I Can’t Even Get The Thing To Stay Attached To My Hair 😂

Right?
Have you tried samsbeauty.com? I was shopping here before we were stuck at home.
@@AngelaWilliamson21 i haven't! i was able to find an online store to get some hair but i'll def check them out too!
@@shalie94 They also have a point system and you can get free stuff with the points. Sometimes it's enough to get hair extensions for free.
Thankfully my beauty store is still open 🙌🏽🙌🏽

This is my absolute favorite style. It's grown my hair so much. Nice and light weight and very easy on the hair. You make it look so easy. 😫
Yes ma’am! This is the perfect time to try this out. I just made it to the beauty supply store before we went on lockdown too!
I’m so excited to try this, always been somewhat insecure of not wearing a wig because I feel I can control how much forehead to show but this I can definitely do 💕

Looooove your rubberband method!!! The best one I've seen YET!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Hi!! This style is so cute! Question: how long did it last? And did you experience your hair slipping out?
I’ve been on a wig cleanse for about a month and a half 😂 the rubber band method is great if you have trouble gripping like me.
Omgggg I never would’ve thought to use hair spray to help blend the colors, very cleaver!! You look amazing ❤️

that black hair spray is geniussssss! i always avoided dyeing my hair because im not good at tucking, does it stain your pillows? how long does it last and how do i remove it?
Vasty A. I’ve used something similar and it usually comes out with a quick wash and it doesn’t stain pillows once it’s dry
Vasty A. Quicker and easier than tucking/hiding the blond in the synthetic hair for people who don’t have time and can’t be bothered.
My arms ache from watching this 😂😂 this is really beautiful
Hahaha
Thank you for this❤ once I get home I’ll be trying this. Since I no longer work (disabled) I have to start doing my own hair
I’ve never seen the rubber band method like this but I think it’s my favorite
This video came on my recommendation. Lovely job! I currently have box braids I did on myself using the rubberband method and crochet. This method I def want to try.
