The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an open-world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios, and published by Bethesda Softworks and 2K. It is the fourth installment in the Elder Scrolls series, following 2002's The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in 2006, followed by PlayStation 3 in 2007. Taking place within the fictional province of Cyrodiil, the game's main story focuses on the player character's efforts to thwart a fanatical cult known as the Mythic Dawn that plans to open portal gates to a demonic realm known as Oblivion.The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely. A perpetual objective for players is to improve their character's skills, which are numerical representations of certain abilities. Early in the game, seven skills are selected by the player as major skills for their character, with those remaining termed as minor skills.

Skyrim right now has a lot of duct tape and wire ties available to hold it together and make it run about as smoothly on PC as if a competent company made it. Without them, I'd say Dark Souls PTDE is a better port, and that was pretty infamous.
Our brains will filter a lot of crap out for the sake of gleaning fun out of it though, like the minute-long loading bars every time you crossed an outside cell in Morrowind in the 2000s, but in 2011-2012 that area of the brain must've been on overdrive because the physics engine will randomly kill an entire town square of NPCs while you're not looking!

This games makes me feel so happy, I love oblivion, it was really ahead of its time with its radiant AI, even if it does get memed on, this game has so much unique charm, so many unique quests. Sure no one talks about the main quest, or the makes guild, or fighters guild, but they are still better than what skyrim can offer, Not to mention that the dark brotherhood and the theives guild in oblivion are the best two faction quests in the series.
