Just finished a 200 km stretch drive on Mumbai Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg. Can confirm it's totally different to this. At par with the ones in the west. I never understood Mr. Gadkari's calculations when he gave stats in the parliament. Now I do.
@@archanasingh3806 Do you know what speeds cars are travelling on expressways ? The whole meaning of expressways are high speeds. There was a part in the video where an aunty and uncle suddenly came on to the right side of the road 3:15 on their activa, they were probably going 40kmph which is highly dangerous when cars are moving at 120+kmph, the reaction time reduces drastically and will lead to accidents and spot deaths on collision with two wheelers. Hence usually expressways ban motorcycles and scooters as they are susceptible to a rear collision with a high speed vehicle.
they said its access controlled but in the video it can be seen people trying to cross the highway posing a danger for an accident. Is it really access control or just a publicity hype?
NHAI wants to grow trees in the middle of the road but not intrested in enhancing the road safty by providing proper spacing between road lane and median curb and wider shoulder. 👏👏 and those zebra patterns are eye straining.👎
Quality of work is good but very very poor design. Already 84 lives lost in 2 months. Already the fence down at several places(at least 10 places that i noticed), 5:25, 5:44, 5:53, 6:05, 6:57 etc. Nothing compared to the US interstate design. Quality of work is good though even though extremely poor designing. This kind of design lead to ribbon development like it's happening in all other NHAI. Designing highways like the US Interstate will solve the problems but it won't happen if our minister sit in Australia and says we will make better roads than the US. That shows we lack attention to detail.
In US roads made by foreseeing 30 years in advance and alot of research and maintenance done. Population also low and GDP is very high.Indian GDP is low and population is high. Not sure can match to US anyhow. Also long term vision still lacking in India. However roads are improving drastically.
@Prakash kumar I do criticize. No YELLOWBOARDS in India knows abcd of driving or traffic rules. All of them needs atleast 6 months extra training. Government wont do it as they are a big vote bank. Unless we accept that no YELLOWBOARDS know driving or traffic rules, we are never going to improve. But instead i see videos here of idiots driving Volvo etc like mad animals and people in the comment constantly appreciating

It's not 100% operational. This is an access controlled Expressway. Once it's 100% complete, no motorcycles or rickshaws are allowed
Motorcycles and rickshaws will not be allowed once road is completely operational.

6 lane main road + 4 lane service road(service road lane each side)
Can you also post video of the current condition post rain where stones laid in road started floating
I thought 2 wheelers were not allowed in this express way...
Video captured a day before restrictions in place for 2 wheelers and auto
Bad road discipline - trucks on right lane. Otherwise expressway looks good.
Road does not look professional. Hardly any shoulder lane. The ride also looks quite bumpy to be an expressway.

waste of money by painting the zebra pattern. It is an eye sore for sure
