Can’t believe this is my first japril video considering they’re one of my biggest otps.
Jackson’s speech in 17x02 to Webber about Catherine gosh it’s like he was taking to himself. Please let it be foreshadowing!!

Japril and Calzona are the two grey's anatomy ships where I don't care what canon said, I'll be living in a world where the writers didn't ruin them and they are still happy.
What is canon?
I can't believe they played with fan's heart so much. First they gave us an iconic love story. Then breaks them up and above that marries her off with mathew. And after April left, they again play with our hearts in season 15 where jackson regrets his choices and then in 17 where he talks about pushing the wife away and admitting not getting her over ever.
But im glad and thankful that they gave them back to us. "Fingers crossed for new horizons" ✨

Both were at fault...Both are right on their own way. April had to leave for her survival but that left Jackson alone.. can't really blame anyone..If april stayed it would've destroyed her and when she didn't it destroyed him and she really did it twice. Remember that he has abandonment issues so can't blame him also. He really thought he wanted the divorce to be not hurt anymore. He was sure that April will hurt him again. And thought its the best way coz they are two different people.
It just took him too late to know what he wanted and by that time April got married to someone..else.
He regrets everything at last and grieves for what could've been and what harrirt would've got if he didn't push her away and realized that he can't ever get over April. She is always the one. But she was married and he couldn't do anything and thought she was also happy so he didn't wanna ruin anything.
But i do think that Jackson loves April more than she loves him. First pregnancy scare and he really was hurt to see her reaction. So he tried to move on. But he couldn't and stood up at her wedding.
Second time..she left for Jordan. He really waited for a year even if he was suffering but she had to leave again. He was really afraid because only April had the power to hurt him like this. That's why he thought it will be best to not be together.. To protect himself from more hurt.
Then after Harriet was born again they had the chance to get back together. But he couldn't because he was afraid. So he went after other women. I think he just want to move on from April so that he won't get hurt again.
Then when April nearly died he lost it but by that time she has moved on and he didn't want to ruin her life again and so he supported her.
And then it was TOO LATE and he became so so messed up with the new found faith and realisation of his doings that ruined their chances of being a family. He really tried to move on from April but still couldn't. He couldn't ever get over her.
He wanted her to be happy but he also didn't want her to be happy with someone else and its clear from the 17×14 episode.
I agree with you, however, I do think that April did love him just as much as he loves her. In episode 17x02 he speaks of how she loves super hard and that love is worth all the rest that comes with that. He can't get over her because she is the moon, stars and sun wrapped into one as far as he is concerned. I agree with you no one could hurt him as deep as April could and no one could hurt April as deep as Jackson could. April only tried to move on with Matthew because she had placed so much hope on the Montana connection being a reconciliation of some sort but when it did not happen she believed that it was truly the end for them. April marrying Matthew was just two people going through deep grief and pain, but in the long run that was not enough to keep them together. Like you said in episode 17x14 you can see the hurt when Jackson tells her that he stood and watched her become another man's wife. However, I also think he sensed that something was off with April's marriage the minute he walked into her house that is why he asked her if she and Matthew were happy. April is a neat freak and the house being unorganized signaled to Jackson that something was not right.

I love japril but april really messed it up in leaving the second time
No she didn’t. April needed to leave while Jackson needed her to stay. They both needed different things but I feel like they could’ve worked it out had Jackson not been so dense to how she was hurting as well. Maybe he cared for a bit but he only cared as long as she was there. He didn’t think about what she needed he only thought about what he needed and that’s completely his fault

@@maureenpeart8000 In the end, it doesn't matter because if she was hurting so much she needed the adrenaline of saving lives in a war zone, she couldn't be a support system for jackson. They both needed a therapist to understand and deal with that kind of grief. Each person handles it differently.
