I can assure anyone reading this that this is very definitely not a word I often use - I consider myself devoutly religious but that religion doesn't have a name; I invented it but I never did get around to naming it - but along with a small handful of others (Thich Nhat Hanh springs to mind; Desmond Tutu is another) John strikes me as one of the few truly holy people I've encountered, albeit vicariously.
Hanh is legend. Absolutely loved listening to him.
I learned mindfulness from him before I found John.
Amazing man. The peace he must be experiencing now. ❤

Ive listened to John so much over the years, his words of wisom have naturally seeped into my day to day. The amount of times Ive returned to stillness in the midst of chaos to help with in-the-moment decision making is stunning. ❤
It really is a game changer, I need to practice it more
I've taken to John's recommended morning and evening formal meditation session (20m each) after years of dilly dallying (reading about meditation but never following through). It truly is life changing.
After carefully observing and listening to this man in several of these videos, I believe that I would be justified in saying that he is indeed a 'modern-day saint'.

I’m so glad I can across John Butler he reminds me of my grandma . They both speak wisdom about God and Life . When I was younger I heard but didn’t listen now as an older man i listen and understand .

Yeah sure-it started off innocently enough, but within a quarter of a millisecond had increased in volume(and smelliness!)to the level of a small tornado, until no more than 30 milliseconds later, the hats of the genteel ladies sitting nearby had been blown clear across the room! But John remained unfazed. He'd heard(and smelt)it all before.😵💫😵🥴🤧
