Southsea is such a lovely place which I visited many times when was younger. Just remember the stones on the beach plus going Clarence pier. Wonderful times
Hi Peter, Many thanks for your comment and its so lovely to hear of your fond memories of Southsea. Yes we will film Clarence pier at some point in the future when the rides are open but also because it is one of the few places that still has a Wimpy and I am desperate to try it after all these years. About a hundred years ago when I was a child my parents used to take myself and my brother to a Wimpy and back then it was a real luxury, fond memories lol. Thanks so much for watching Peter, take care and have a lovely weekend. Love Paul & Marie xx 👍💖
Hi Richard, Many thanks for your comment and yes, it is lovely there. Our daughter used to love going to the arcade on those 2p machines, we would spend about £8.00 for her to win a 50p key ring, its crazy what you do as parents lol. Top tip, the change machines at arcades are great for getting change for a boot sale and a lot easier than going to a bank, its a challenge these days, to find a bank that still does counter service lol. Thanks for all of your support Richard, we are loving getting out and about and making these videos so thanks for watching them and for all of your support. Take care and have a lovely weekend. 👍💖
What a lovely place Paul and Marie, couldn’t believe the amount of swans 🦢 amazing, and seeing the fox 🦊 how fab, thanks for sharing love tam and Belle 🥰 xx
Hi Tam & Belle, Many thanks for your comment, very kind of you. Yes seeing Freddie the fox (that's what we call all foxes that we see), was a real bonus. One of the swans was hissing at a dog so we stayed way back, didn't want to get attacked. I think its all those years of watching Rod Hull and Emu when we were kids, very wary of anything with a beak lol. Take care and have a lovely weekend. Love Paul & Marie xx 👍💖
Southsea and Portsmouth was somewhere I went often in my teenage years so fond memories. I spent ages making a gorgeous turquoise chiffon mini dress which my sister borrowed. She went on a date with her boyfriend, got a bit drunk, fell down the steps at Southsea Castle and ruined the dress! I did forgive her and she later married him plus I carried on sewing and made a successful business out of my hobby so all good.
Hi Lianne, Many thanks for your comment and so lovely to hear your fond memories of Southsea, even if your sister did ruin your lovely dress lol. Paul lived in Portsmouth so went there a lot. He has always loved a pier and we've been on holidays in the past just to visit a particular pier, we would love to go around all of the piers in the UK at some point and its definitely on our bucket list. Who knows what the future holds but we are loving spending some time getting out and about so thanks for all of your support by watching our videos. Take care and have a lovely weekend. Love Paul & Marie xx 👍💖
Hi Paul and Marie, thanks for such a lovely video. What great weather we are having, a lovely bright winter’s day. I like the music you’ve chosen too. I went on a Hovercraft 53 years ago can’t remember where from but it was to the IOW. Good to hear the history and to see the pier. 💕💕
Hi Joan, Many thanks for your lovely comment. Yes we have been so lucky with the weather and have avoided the cold spells. Hoping to go over to the Isle of Wight as we head towards the summer but it is so expensive so we will just have to wait and see but are really looking forward to venturing further afield as the year goes on. Thanks so much for watching and supporting us Joan as we are really loving having time off to go out and about and I always manage to engineer a breakfast or a lunch which is of course purely for the viewers benefit lol. Take care Joan and have a lovely weekend. Love Paul & Marie xx 👍💖
Hi Chris, Many thanks for your lovely comment, very kind of you. Yes we are really enjoying our days out and are looking forward to going further a field when the weather is a bit warmer. Thanks so much for watching, take care and enjoy the rest of your week. 👍💖
Have spent the last couple of days catching up on these vids, lovely places to visit and nice to see what you do away from reselling, looking forward to the next video
Hi, Many thanks for your lovely comment and so sorry it has taken so long to reply. Yes we love making these videos and once we have finished decorating (arrghh) we are hoping to get out more and make more of these videos as we love having a break. Thanks so much for all of your support, take care and have a really great week. 👍💖
Hi Helen, Many thanks for your comment and yes those gardens were so lovely and it was so nice to hear all of the birdsong. We were so lucky with the weather too but definitely will be going back in the summer as it will be nice to see all of the flowers in bloom. Thanks so much for watching Helen, take care and enjoy the rest of your week. 👍💖
Hi Carole, Many thanks for your comment, very kind of you. We did have a lovely day out in Southsea and the weather was so kind to us. We have just finished filming in Newbury so spoiler alert, that will be the next video. The weather didn't like us at all lol. Thanks so much for all of your support, we really love making these videos and getting out and about so thanks so much for taking the time to watch them. Take care and have a lovely week. 👍💖
@@BreakingFreeWithPaulAndMarie we're off to Newbury tomorrow 😂 we go to a charity shop in the shopping centre called Aladdin cave to stock up. And get some pies at the butchers on the bridge. I was from Reading and Newbury is not that far but now living in Swindon. Have a lovely week too.
Hi Carole, many thanks for your comment and so sorry I didn't see this earlier. We love Swindon, we go to the shopping outlet. Its normally us having a Costa right inside the entrance whilst Emily goes to that beauty shop a few doors down, fond memories. Thanks so much for watching Carole, take care and have a great week. 👍💖
I think I said in a previous vlog that I’ve only been to Portsmouth once, to take the hovercraft over to Ryde. I found out that my late father had been living in Portsmouth when he died in 2015…I hadn’t seen him since the 1970s. Far too long a story for RUclips!
Hi, Many thanks for your comment and thanks for sharing about your hovercraft trip over to Ryde. Sorry to hear about the situation with your father. Hope you are doing ok and wanted to thank you for watching these videos as we really love making them and getting out of the house. Thanks so much, take care and enjoy the rest of your week. 👍💖
