Nancy! You start your videos and get right to the point! I love this! Thanks for your direct approach and not spending five minutes blathering like so many other youTubers. You’re my Go To knitting advisor on YT. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments and your timing could not be better. I’ve been put out of commission by a hamstring injury and was in the midst of a pity party when I saw your comment! ☺️🧶
Nancy again you have explained a technique so clear and easy to understand. I just learned about this needle on a Facebook group. We are making Izzy or Comfort pocket dolls. This is an interesting alternative to dpn’s and magic loop. Love that you have made socks with them showing you actually like this idea! Yes! Beautiful Yarn!
Thank you, Janie, for taking the time to comment on my video. The Addi-flex is another excellent option for knitting in the round. They are my go-to for socks. 🧶
Excellent clear demonstration of how to cast on and get started knitting with these needles. You made it so clear and a great tip about casting on an extra stitch to avoid a gap at begging of cuff. Thank you.
Hi Nancy, I found this video about a year ago. I was just about to give up on the Flexis when you popped on to my screen. Over the last year I have falling in love these needles, doing so many different things with them!! And it all because of you n this video! Thank you so much for the Great video!
Thank you Olivia and I sure do appreciate your thoughtful comments. It motivates me to make more videos. You are right about the flexi needles, they are very handy indeed. 😌🧶
OMG. Thank you SO much David the extra stitch tip!!!! That had ALWAYS been my biggest fear and trouble!!! But no more! How did I never think of this??? ❤❤❤❤ TY TY TY!
Still need to try socks! I have never tried dpns...but have done magic loop. Thank you for demonstration for theses needles. I love learning new things. Thanks again Nancy!
Mary Algar Mary, I’m with you bit it’s nice to know that there are many alternatives to DPN’s right??? Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel. I want you to know how much I appreciate it❣️
Thanks so much for this video. I just bought some to give it a go and I could not wrap my head around how to get started, even though I've used dpns and magic loop.
Dear Nancy, there are X - flex -cables and Flexi Flips from Chiaogoo and HiyaHiya! There are Lace tips on both sides and these are so wonderful! You can get every stitch you want very easy! This is why l hated to work with the addi ones. But the lace tip i& better than the blunt ti' on the other side. With the X - flex short cables of 2" = 5 cm you can fabrice your on Flexies . The cables come with a number of three each, in Mini and in S. You can connect 8 cm = 3" needles, 4" = 10 cm needles or the normal 5" = 11 - 12 cm - needles with them. If youhave L - needles, just use an adapter! You only need 3 correct sizes in front of them. If you use a lot smaller ones on the back you have power - needles for fast - knitters! I love it!
If you’re used to DPNS, I suggest using them for the rib to begin with, and then changing to the crazys. Once you’re used to holding them it gets easier and is more even tension than dpns.
Hi Nancy. I have a question for you. When I am knitting in the round and especially when I’m adding in a new color I tend to get ladders at the join. I am not doing magic loop or dpns, just using a fixed circular needle. Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid this? This is a constant problem and really bugs me. I am a Continental knitter but use both continental and English for stranded color work. It’s so unsightly! Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
Oh this is too funny. I decided I’m not going to finish it and cut the yarn but I saved what I have done so far because it has a provisional cast on and I want to practice taking the stitches off the cast on. I can try and take a picture but I’m not sure how clear it will be especially with the provisional cast on yarn in the way. I’ll explain more in the email Thanks!
Rainne Cassidy Good to know and thanks for commenting. Please share a photo of the finished baby blanket...with your permission, I will gladly post it on my website❣️🥰🧶
I’m sorry that my video was unclear. The first round is the right side. If you are on the wrong side, you most likely have your knitting inside out - which btw, is fairly easy to do! 🤦🏻♀️ Have you checked the Skacel website to see what videos they may have? Because it’s their product, one would think that they would have something available. Good luck 🧶☺️
@@WynnKnit ok so I watched your video again and you are on the wrong side when you slipped the extra stitch. When you do a tail cast-on your working yarn is always the wrong side of the work It’s hard to notice because you have so few stitches but you turned the needles over after you slipped the stitch which made the working yarn on the right needle.
@@WynnKnit you were on the wrong side when you did the slip stitch then flipped it. It’s not clear but you actually say you’re on the wrong side. A long tail cast on will always have your work on the wrong side with the working tail…that’s a given

Just bought addi crazy trio and am so grateful for your very clear tutorial. Thank you so much ! Greetings from France 🤗
I'm happy to hear that my video helped you. Happy Knitting!!!

Thanks Nancy for showing us how to use these newfangled things.
Andrea Ribera Andrea, you hit the nail on the head by calling them a “newfangled thing!” Love it❣️😂
I watched a few videos on Addi Flex Tips and yours is the easiest to follow. Thank you
Thank you 😊

Kathy Tellier Thanks Kathy. Socks are just about the easiest thing to make so you just need to go for it 👍
Thank you so much. The tip about using the extra stitch was mind blowing!
This video is a lifesaver. I was struggling with a large gap in the join. Thanks, Nancy.
Marilyn Kruse Thanks Marilyn, I’m happy to hear that my video helped you out. 🧶
This video contains the info I was looking for - joining with the extra stitch. Thanks!
Thank you! It's very concrete, well and fast explained.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments and supporting my channel ‼️🙏🧶☺️
Another great demo Nancy. Interesting to see how they work, but I'll likely stick with double-pointed needles.

I agree with Mary. I'll stick to DPNs, but thanks for the videos. That's what's nice about socks, so many ways to knit them!
Thanks so much for this video. I just bought some to give it a go and I could not wrap my head around how to get started, even though I've used dpns and magic loop.
Thank you so much. A video with clear instructions and straight to the point. 😊👍🙏 Bless you.
Thank you!! I had no idea how to begin and you saved me!

I wish you had put more stitches on so that your knitting is clearer. Did you do your first round on the wrong side?

@@cloudydaez But I did not knit the wrong side. The wrong side stitches that are in the center are folded inside and I’m knitting the outside.

@@WynnKnit it’s ok I found another tutorial that’s a lot clearer thanks anyway
Are you left handed?
No. Why do you ask?
@@WynnKnit because you hold your yarn in your left hand
That’s because I knit continental AKA picker and if you knit with your working yarn on your right hand, it’s called English AKA throwing!
Oh wow! Different tips on the ends?!?!
Catherine Goser I know right? Somebody really thought the needle design through. Not only that, Skacel does make very sturdy needles. Happy knitting 🧶
@@WynnKnit Thank you. Because of your review and showing us how yo use them, I am ordering a set.
👍💐
Don't waste your money on them. They are too short. Very slippery. I have never had so many stiches slip off. Maybe ok for socks, not for sleeves.
