- About 95% of India's trade activities take place through the oceans. The Bay Of Bengal has been an active trade route for years. But the waters are now infested by smugglers that feed upon the nation's economy. The Indian Coast Guard does everything in its power to protect the territorial water. And they receive a helping hand from the local untrained fishermen. They know the sea better than anyone which makes them the best network of informers. The lionhearted guards investigate every case that is brought to their notice.
भारत की लगभग 95% व्यापारिक गतिविधियाँ महासागरों के माध्यम से होती हैं। बंगाल की खाड़ी वर्षों से एक सक्रिय व्यापार मार्ग रहा है। लेकिन अब तस्करों के सक्रिय होने के कारण देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को भारी-भरकम नुकसान हो रहा हैं। प्रादेशिक जल की रक्षा के लिए भारतीय तटरक्षक अपने बस में जो बन पाए करते है। वे स्थानीय अप्रशिक्षित मछुआरों से मदद की गुहार लगाते हैं। समुद्र की सबसे बेहतर जानकारी रखने के कारण वे सबसे अच्छे मुखबिरों का नेटवर्क बनाता है। शेर दिल भारतीय तटरक्षक हर मामले की जांच बारीकी से करते हैं।
Veer by Discovery brings to you a series about the Guardians who are dedicated to serve and protect the Indian Coast. ‘Guardians of the Coast’ is a series about the Indian Coast Guard, who serve one of the longest and busiest coastlines in the world. With the Motto ‘Vayam Rakshamah’ - which translates from Sanskrit as ‘We Protect’, these heroes lay their lives on the line everyday to serve our country. The show explains how Indian Coast Guard plays a pivotal role in India’s defense against unfriendly sea dwellers and foreign hostile forces. India Coast Guard not only protects the oceanic wealth such as oil reserves, sea trading etc. but also extends assistance to marine habitats and mariners in distress while enforcing Maritime Law in the sea.
