Incredible job Sertalp and Bas. I had a question. While solving the wildcard drafts, Sertalp mentioned that he set the FT value to zero, what is the burn value and decay used while solving the wildcard drafts? Thank you :)
Sertalp here. I set FT value to zero to see the max EV we can get with a wildcard. I think FT value should be around 0.5-0.8 for a regular solve. Burn value should be closer to zero, and I prefer using the default decay (0.85). There shouldn't be too much difference at this point.
Most often the issue is related to minute predictions. Some models don't rate KDB's or Foden's minutes high -as Pep is unpredictable- and when we get the average, they don't appear as best options. (Linearization also plays a part, but that's for later). That's why I (Sertalp) commented at the end of the episode that it is worth trying with custom minutes. They might appear in optimal teams if you assume they will play closer to full games in the rest of the season.
