if you want a good isekai/romance anime kinda similar to Toradora, watch "Familiar of Zero". Amazing openings and soundtracks, the voice actor of Taiga is also the voice actor of Louise (main girl in Familiar of Zero). Louise is very much like Taiga, they're both abusive tsunderes lol
@@kvrsed2620 And Shana and Aria. JC Staff lol Nagi from Hayate the Combat Butler as well but then again, a reference anime so I'm not sure if it even counts
If I had never watched this anime I would say this is a cool electronic/piano song, a pretty song. But when I think of the anime, like everything else in the show's design, this song carries such a perfect blend of beauty and melancholy that is hard to put into words. Every time I hear it I can't help but cry.
@and yes That could be a possibility. Ddlc is an anime romance game, so I assume that the creator had watched some classic anime romances and Toradora could be an influence to the soundtrack. I will try to find if anything has been said about this, if I do I will let you know!
This plays in episode 18. Where Taiga discusses her gifting to kids saying there is at least one person watching over you. I was like this sounds so familiar and it was the confession scene with Sayori in Doki Doki Literature Club.
This song has a strong sense of mystery to it. Like something is isn't quite right. Like something is missing. Like a missing cog. Like idk something is off...
This song did a perfect job putting pressure on my heart and making me feel nervous and anxious when the plot demanded it. Shows often do a bad job of making you feel negative emotions, likely do to a fear of upsetting the viewer, however there were some key scene's that really needed a song like this to add to the overarching atmosphere, and I think this song did a great job in every scene it was in. They knew what they were doing.
Sadly, we never would get a S2. But... there is a S2. Kind of. Search Toradora's PSP visual novel. It's the continuation of the story after the high school graduation. Is the best i can say for you.
This song has an uncanny resemblance to the OST in DDLC. The ghostly startup giving a secluded feeling of isolation before diving into the piano is a great mix. The piano sounds awfully similar to Monika's (character of DDLC) piano tracks, and the violin that comes in to accompany the piano adds to that resemblance. I wish I had watching this anime sooner, but I'm glad I did. Most slice of life anime do not leave me in good taste, whether that be for a mediocre story or a bland ending (you can thank Haganai for that one, it was the first anime I ever watched). Toradora is the first slice of life I can say I enjoyed the whole way through. In some aspects I can relate to Ryuuji, mainly because I used to be very close with a person that was like Tiaga. It sure will be tough to find something like Toradora again...
I so thought this as well! Another track that reminds me of DDLC (or, vice-versa) is "Yasashii Megu-nee Arigatou" from Gakkou Gurashi. I'm certain Dan took inspiration from these (especially Gakkou Gurashi, if you know, you know).
I'm not gonna scroll any further down because I haven't finished Toradora yet but when I first heard this I was really impressed, I guess, for lack of better words. it made me realize that I might actually get some post-series sadness from this show, I find it really enjoyable right now. Edit: just finished it. i really enjoyed it!
this ost is the most nostalgic out of al of them when i watched the ep with this ost it felt as if the snow was falling in a dark night this is one of the best highschool anime i have ever watched in 2020
Best of Toradora's soundtrack in my opinion even with all the other gems in it! Every time I hear this one though (in the anime or otherwise) it makes me emotional. Had to revist the OST considering I'm rewatching the show again for the umptieth time for Christmas break 2021! So much nostalgia...
Because of what this song was used for in the show, I now feel anxious every time I hear it. A masterpiece of a song used for a masterpiece of an anime. The only OST which can evoke so much emotion in me
This soundtrack is getting slandered but it has so much more meaning behind it, almost like a melancholy bittersweet feeling after u finish the anime and come back to this ost
I think the synth creates dissonance with the more harmonic piano melody. There are also several descending lines (goes from higher notes to lower notes) which I feel like kind of create a sinking feeling but are counteracted by the more harmonic piano and violin parts so that its not totally dark. I really love this piece. Totally reminds me of DDLC (like everyone else is saying).
This song always feels like it should be in one of those visual novels, where you have a cute convo with someone and suddenly they look at you funny and get empty eyes. It doesnt fit toradora at all, its so creepy waah😢
Taiga realizing that she can’t be with Ryuji anymore after she tells him to go find Minori was such an emotional and incredible scene.
"Why am I crying? ... Ooohh..."
So emotional, i have to cry every time
just like myself realizing there is no season 2
