- Several factors could influence a recruit's decision to choose Kansas State over BYU:
Athletic Program Reputation: Kansas State has a long history of competitive athletics, particularly in football and basketball. Recruits may be attracted to the opportunity to play for a program with a strong tradition of success and a passionate fan base.
Conference Affiliation: Kansas State is a member of the Big 12 Conference, which is one of the Power Five conferences in college sports. Playing in the Big 12 offers recruits the opportunity to compete against top-tier competition and showcase their talents on a national stage.
Coaching Staff: The coaching staff at Kansas State may play a significant role in a recruit's decision. A strong coaching staff with a track record of developing talent and helping players reach their potential could be appealing to recruits.
Academic Programs: Kansas State offers a variety of academic programs and resources that may be attractive to recruits. The opportunity to pursue a quality education while competing at a high level athletically could be a deciding factor for some recruits.
Location and Campus Environment: The location of Kansas State's campus and the surrounding community may appeal to certain recruits. Factors such as campus facilities, student life, and proximity to home could influence a recruit's decision.
Opportunity for Early Playing Time: Recruits may be attracted to Kansas State by the opportunity for early playing time and the chance to make an immediate impact on the field.
Ultimately, the decision to choose Kansas State over BYU will vary for each recruit and depend on a combination of factors such as athletic program reputation, conference affiliation, coaching staff, academic programs, location, and playing opportunities.

BYU is one of the best development programs for football in the country. They make sure every walk-on gets NIL… unheard of. They have always been successful with two and three star recruits, and now they are getting three and four stars.
They overachieve for their recruiting challenges. Honor code is a tough sale and they still achieve. Their retention of players has been outstanding in the NIL/transfer era. They lose their head coach and still retain most of their core? It is going to start to pay off.
BYU likes to succeed as the underdog. You left too soon, but BYU=LOYALTY so I’m sorry, but it’s your loss bro.
Love is thicker than blood Robbie, you’re family.
Portal... Is Not Good.
I'm a BYU fan. Can you blame him. I can't. Things are looking up. Too bad I can't say football is. But I like the new coach. Good luck young man. No hard feelings. See you on the court. Well 👍 done
I always thought that Michigan State and Kansas State and had similar feels to programs.
Also, Gene couldn’t go behind the Presidents back. But now there are more safeguards to separate the President from Tang..
It was Linton who went behind Taylor's and Tang's back. You're right about the safeguards put in place since.
It will be curious to see how protests on college campuses and Congress will respond to the intrigue of what college athletics will become.

Wow Drake, the more I watch this channel the more I laugh. Gene Taylor DID NOT kick Nae'Qwan Tomlin out of K-State, it was the University President Richard Linton. Taylor and Tang both were pissed at Linton for forcing a player off the team without any input from the coach &/or the AD. If fact, in order to keep Tang, Linton had to provide a written agreement that he will not have any authority to directly remove any player off of any team at K-State. He'll have to go through the AD.
Also, the Kansas Board of Regence are watching Linton. The BofR is Linton's boss! Linton has the whole university on edge.
Drake, your statements are so far off of any sort of accurate. This is almost as off base as your forecast the Scott Drew was going to Kentucky. Bring back Josh!
Let’s go
I really don't think sitake is up to the task.
It is alright! Not every four-star athlete is a fit for a team especially when there are too many other four-star athletes. Besides, three-star athletes are the ones who win championships because they are driven by the team and not themselves.
@@dfausti66 .... actually I didn't even listen to the article so I don't know what it's about, I was just giving my feelings about sitaki.... I think he needs to produce this year or he needs to go but even with a bad year he will still probably be given at least one more.
I think BYU needs to be more aggressive as they have with Kevin Young and the basketball program, but time will tell.
I understand the philosophy of what you were talking about with the three star and four-star, but I don't think that's particularly true with the four-star, maybe some five stars are that way but the four stars I don't think are so separated from reality.
