Good job Australia.. we in Indonesia are trying to protect komodo dragons and are still receiving protest from friends who are dissatisfied with it.. but there you have shown the komodo dragon.. good job...
It was really nice to see Steve on the big screen to introduce Ragnar. I have to admit that animal is a very scary one, but I had to ask myself how incredible it would be to actually see one out like that! Even though he's a scary guy I just loved seeing this! You guys are awesome and rocking the conservation world!! GO WILDLIFE WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He looks really good his tails nice and thick and fat, what a great sign. You guys there do a great job with these animals. And make sure you take care of Robert's baby there. Take care and God bless you all from the US. 💙💙💙
Im literally crying. Thank you Irwin family for bringing attention to this beautiful creature. The Komodo Dragon is my favorite animal in the world along with its cousin the Asian Water Monitor. They are rapidly disappearing from the world at an alarmingly fast rate. They are thought to be the family members of villagers so protected in some villages but mostly feared by people due to their size. They don’t get much National attention, so I’m beyond excited and emotional to see this now. Unfortunately most Zoos including the one near me in Houston, keep these creatures in horribly small enclosures. Hopefully this will inspire Zoos and people to not only protect them, but also to keep them in appropriately sized habitats if they are keeping them in captivity
Couldn't have said it better myself. Komodos and monitors in general are one of my favorites too as I have a strong love for reptiles and the animals that most people don't care for and they are all cute and awesome. This is what drew me to Steve Irwin, his family, and his zoo at a young age. The fact that they are one of the types of people that love and care for the animals that most people are repelled by. That in in of itself restores a little more of my faith in humanity. These scaly, clawed, multiple legs, and toothy creatures deserve just as much love and attention as other animals do.
When did Komodo Dragon rapidly disappearing? Their natural habitat is only in an Island (Komodo Island). Their population fluctuate naturally. And the people who live there don't eat them nor do they hunt them (the Komodo attract tourism).
I remember I went to Australia Zoo a few weeks before the anniversary and they had this guy out in the Crocoseum before the show, he is a very big and pretty guy.
It is a wonderful zoo. The staff really love the animals and you can tell it’s about conservation We hope our next trip to Australia we can see the family participating in the shows.
I've never seen a Komodo dragon but we have it's cousin in Thailand, Veranus. Like the Komodo dragon, Veranus is a monitor lizard that can get up to almost three meters and has a toxic bite, a tail like a bullwhip, and claws longer than my index finger. I have run into them while swimming at Hong, Phi Phi, and Koh Samui islands. They can move much more quickly than one would expect, they both can catch deer.
I love Ragnar. I've often wondered why you guys haven't had a Komodo dragon in your show. After all They're a big giant monitor lizard. Raised right and socialized properly they can become just big giant puppy dogs. Yes I know they're also very dangerous, but I've watched enough videos from Kevin McCleary and the guys at NERD and all the other reptiles channels to know what a monitor is and about and how amazingly they take to being socialized. Congratulations Ragnar you are a new member of the Irwin Dynasty
At 2:02 the little girl in the blue shirt right above the fence line, is the response that I would've like to see the audience have to this magnificent BEAST! I MEAN SHE IS SHOWING AWE! You can see her mouth is wide as a frisbee while she has her hand over her mouth!!! Just Wonderful Response to this Reptile!
Never seen komodo pretty tame and do tricks like that.. I don't think zoos in Indonesia even has komodo.. people can just go to the national park for that . And they're wild, dont even try to touch them
In Mini Reptile Park Indonesia, some are kept for project of breeding them to save them from extinction,in the wild juvenile komodo are prone to cannibalism by adults & other predators most varanus species eat their own kind,to really see them hunt will be in Komodo Island Nature reserved
I went to Rinca - amazing. oddly enough the large komodos are quite habituated and hang out around the rangers quarters cause they have worked out there is easy food that way. Many wild animals seem ok to habituate once they know they are not in danger. I spent about 5 hours hiking the island with the ranger and we saw a few. Ranger just carried a long stick in case there was any form of encounter - this is where they should all be kept. I dont know anyone who when dying say "the greatest life experience i ever had was seeing a komodo in a cage" so lets just leave them in the well managed national parks - we give up so little and those amazing reptiles get to have a better quality of life more aligned with what nature had planned for them.
This is one place i hope to go to in my life time...absolutely love and want to go to this zoo. I was a huge fan of Steve Irwin growing up and i adore his family and what they do
They were over 400 of them runnin around free in Thailand’ central park, took a big operation to capture all of them ..we are trying to get rid off them, if u guys like it so much plz visit Thailand and help urself ,they pretty much live in sewers In Thailand , suddenly now they r zoo animals?
I was on south stradbroke island 23 years ago camping with my family. We were down on the beach and i ran up to our tent to get something. No idea what now. Lol . However on my walk up there i stopped screamed blue bloody murder as i thought it was a croc. No it was a dragon. He she was huge. Terrified me. I ran down back to the beach quicker than lightning and by the time we got back up he,she was gone. They are huge. Never seen one again. Lol
I love how Steve is put on the big screen as a reminder of how it all started. 💜 Go Ragnar!
If I ever got the chance to travel, it would be to Australia just to come see the Wonderful Zoo you all have made. Steve, I'm sure, is proud. 💖💥
Cheryl u would love Australia Zoo! 💕💙💜👌
Meeeee too 🙂
Australia zoo is great
Me three!
Yep me too!!! I love the zoo !! I love animals
Good job Australia.. we in Indonesia are trying to protect komodo dragons and are still receiving protest from friends who are dissatisfied with it.. but there you have shown the komodo dragon.. good job...
I was wondering if they could re introduce some of the komodo dragons to Australia since buffalos and camels populate the continent.
@@mirna3722 iya ratusan ribu taun yg lalu, sekarang komodo di alam liar cuman ada di Indonesia ga ada di tempat lain

I get so emotional hearing Steve’s voice.. at least he’s watching down on us, proud of his kids
Love how you keep Steve alive by incorporating his videos during live shows
He looks really good his tails nice and thick and fat, what a great sign. You guys there do a great job with these animals. And make sure you take care of Robert's baby there. Take care and God bless you all from the US. 💙💙💙

i love asian water monitors! my favourite lizard ever since i saw Slinky on the Kamp Kenan youtube channel
they wont disappeared , most zoo has them , there a private breeder in spain as well
They're not disappearing rapidly, you're literally talking out of your ass. The only reason they're endangered is because of climate change
When did Komodo Dragon rapidly disappearing?

Omg he was so cute looking around & rubbing his belly on the grass❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love to see steve’s legacy going strong with his family.
Komodo dragon from indonesia😍
I used to be obsessed with Komodo Dragons when I was 6 or 7 years old. Since then they've remained one of my favorite creatures!
I remember I went to Australia Zoo a few weeks before the anniversary and they had this guy out in the Crocoseum before the show, he is a very big and pretty guy.
1:56 Awe, he's rubbing his belly on the new surface like a cat ^^.
Probably had the friendly disposition of a cat too...
Oh my gosh, Steve would've loved this!!!! ♥
It is a wonderful zoo. The staff really love the animals and you can tell it’s about conservation We hope our next trip to Australia we can see the family participating in the shows.
This gave me the feeling of Jurrasic world's dinosaurs intro and their details 😍
Glad to see him healthy.. Thank you guys 🦖🔥🇲🇨
Amazing! Australia Zoo is just amazing
Amazing. Keep up the good work guys. Your helping the worlds wildlife out loads 🌲
Wonderful but more footage of the amazing Komodo dragon & not the crowd would have been better.
I have to admit it is actually impressive. Most komodos are savage and always looking to tear something apart.
Captive komodos tend to bond with their keepers, they are quite intelligent.
One of my favorite Crocodile Hunter episodes!

Such a handsome man
Absolutely AMAZING!!
Incredible
Stop by Indonesia, sir, there are lots of unique animals to discuss here. Btw i'm from Indonesian 🇮🇩
What a fantastic Komodo dragon
They are so incredible my favourite monitor ❤️❤️❤️
That Komodo definitely got a nice life from now.... 😉 😊
"Here he is your komodo dragon"
wow so you trained this beast..
Beautiful creature
The big dragon looks happy
He is spectacular 😍...it's like seeing a dinosaur 🦕
Actually, he's not closely related to dinosaurs at all. Birds and crocs are much closer to dinos than he is.
Epic!! Well done!
That was cool!🦕
The number one thing on my bucket list for life is high fiving Robert
WOW!
holy crap thats a big lizard
Love it, will absolutely visit some time, love from Norway
The k dragon is AMAZING!
Wow when it reached up high really showed the size of it amazing.
How you get komodo dragon from Indonesia...?
Nice!
I did not know you can pat a Komodo Dragon.
Wait, are you guys tell the people in the zoo and social media about where's komodo come from? I hope you guys tell them about it.🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Hearing steves voice again was wonderful. Rip.
Love this grate work all 👍

It's different spieces, mate
People love water monitors, and these monitors eat rats and mice. They are useful, smart and a highlight of Lumpini Park in Bangkok.
Why is the music louder than the voices?
That is pretty neat
They do this all the time at the Australian Reptile park on the NSW Central Coast with their Komodo Dragon, Kraken.
Wow was that Riley?
steve would be so proud
Lidl komodo lmao
