Nice to get a different perspective on a place I’ve travelled through many times. Also great to meet you blokes at Yea. (I’m the bus driver in the hi-vis)
Yeah Richard, that's what I'm thinking. For 20 years I went thru in trucks, always on the bypass to Sydney, or bypass the other side on the way to Brisbane. Once riding my motorbike from Brisbane I stopped in town to fuel up.
Another great video. Strewth, I'd get lost in Yea now. It's either grown or I've shrunk . Of course in a truck going to Sydney via Yarra Glen and the Slide you bypass it all , you go past the hospital turn right , over the river n that's it. Incas the weighbridge was open at Broadford I'd oft go to Brisbane via Lilydale, Glenburn, Yea, Seymour, Shepparton etc so you don't have to fill the log book in, (and why should I, I didn't carry logs )!; and even that way turning left instead of right I never took much of the town in. I miss the road.
@@urbanaerialexplorer1885 I didn't see the little servo I fueled my XT250 at in 1989 when I rode from Brisbane. It only had a 9 litre tank so I think I fueled up every 100 km !
A good friend who can also tell his French relatives to watch him in the video from abroad ... I too have relatives in Europe who have a hoot watching me goof around ... much better then a postcard !
@@patappleton6285 I jokingly told my (ex) wife I'm taking her to a beautiful island for our honeymoon called Phillip ! ... We ended up on a Thailand one instead. 😃
I just deleted my anti archaeologist comment from the other day , forgot the whole world can view, and besides , Mr Tube doesn't like smart Alec's even when their not named Alec!
Thanks for the reminder, I too have been to Philip Island, Flinders Island, Chevron Island , so technically having never left Australia I can claim to have visited many overseas destinations.

Thanks for subscribing 👍
Watching it again and the catchy music has both my feet tapping , reminding me how numbingly cold they are inside this unheated steel boat.

@@patappleton6285 I could imagine that many town businesses didn't do well with lock downs and no flow of tourists !

Cheviot tunnel ? No wonder Harold Holt disappeared , he got hit by a train before he drowned and fed the crayfish.
