The ornament is what the base weapon should've looked like. Classic, modern, but updated to suit it's exotic status.

I'm a sucker for tactical looks, so as soon as I got the Khvostov I instantly bought that Ornament.
I can’t lie when I say that I was in the brink of wasting 10 dollars since it just looks so damn good. But I stopped my self bc I know it’s going to be free next episode and then I came across this videos and to my surprise, it’s going to be for sale this episode as well as the still hunt ornament which I didn’t buy and I’m glad I didn’t for both of them, got to save 20 dollars 😂
@@undecillion25 Same. Had I not double-checked the eververse calendar today, I wouldn't have learned that the Still Hunt and Khvostov ornaments were going to be for brigthtdust.
Khvo is still glitched, so I can wait to get that one, but Still Hunt will be tough knowing how much I like using it now.
Still, 20 USD saved for later ornaments like the Cloudstrike and Buried Bloodline coming out for silver later.
Theres no guarantee it will be this episode, it isnt confirmed by any legitimate source. For the price of a footlong from subway i get to parade it around and flex on those that didnt for however long i can which is defo worth a subway footlong!

Also not to ruin your parade but flexing on ppl in a game is pretty loser like tbh and what would make it worse would be the fact that what you’re flexing is something that ppl will get for free in a couple of weeks instead of getting scammed. But let’s say the khvo ornament was sold in the heresy episode then you would have a point bc I can’t blame you for buying it since it’ll be free basically in a year and that’s long time, so that’s 1 thing. But the mf is literally going to be sold this episode and in a couple of weeks too.

If the boss they removed is your last boss, it would’ve removed all your mores if you killed it. That’s what happened to me and many people so they disabled it.

Yes, old Khvostov's look was exactly what it needed to be, simple and effective whereas this new look for the base exotic feels like someone decided to put a product placement that noone asked for on the exotic. It honestly feels like bungie wanted to sell the new base look as an ornament but realized too late in development that 99% of players wouldn't even pick it up if it was for bright dust lol..... when you consider that the ornament that is actually in the store makes the gun look like the original but more tactical and clean and people will buy it just to not have to look at the ugly base model that makes alot more sense....

It looks a lot better than the original gun. I don't often purchase silver but I had to for this! I could have waited but I wanted it was soon as I had the gun
It's honestly pretty weird that this is the ornament and the version styled after the D1 ornament is the base look. This one really seems like the evolution of the classic version.
I wanna make some spec ops looks for my hunter and titan and have that ornament tied to as well just struggling to find good armor to pair
i tried my best to use obtainable armor with the hunter set shown at 0:21, only issue is the cloak which i don't believe is obtainable anymore

I use Last Wish legs though could be changed to something else, Neomuna chestplate, bird complex arms (the ones with blades on the forearms) with Graviton Forfeit and the S8 Eververse ornament (The cloak that has like horns on the top)
Definitely getting this one. Less because of how it looks and more because I dislike the base look. I'm just not a fan of the dipped-partially-in-paint look.
In upcoming weeks it will be available for bright dust as well, so no worries…
The legendary version slaps in pvp so i got high hopes for the exotic. They better speed the fix for the meatball so we can enjoy it.

@@huhreally5771No there's not. Regardless, if there was, it's a legendary lacking the special perk. This is our guardians signature gun. It's held in every cutscene we wielded an auto rifle. The fact that we are being treated like this is how it's always supposed to have looked is pathetic and makes me want to punch the CEO out of his 5th story window. They knew what they were doing. They know we wanted this gun and have begging for it forever. So they changed it entirely, and made the original skin look like trash so we feel obligated to buy the Khvoshtov ornament that looks like the gun we all love decked out in glory like it should've been when we first collected the exotic. Not this weird ass gun foundry with terrible taste in color. Not only that, the gun isn't Khvoshtov anymore, it's some random imposter that calls itself Khvoshtov. The exotic PERK'S from the original in D1 allowed the gun to be a multipurpose weapon. That was perfect for it because that's how guns it's based off of, functioned. Modularity. They stripped that away so we could act like master chief in that one obscure machinima called "Halo vs Metroid" bouncing bullets. Tbh it looks more like Bungie kissing their own ass and giving themselves a pat on the back making everything about the gun symbolize them. Instead of giving us what the fuck we wanted, what we paid for.

Not related to the Khvostov, but the extremely rare faction ornaments are coming back! You should definitely make a video on that.

I am glad Bungie is giving a chance to snag older ornaments for exotics and legendary items.

Why isn't this the based design for Khvostov.
It's cute that Bungie made the old D1 ornament from way back in the day. But I would much rather have this upgraded, designer, modified design
I bought the final shape just for twilight arsenal and the khvostov, just for the game to est my motes of light
I did the same, plus unbreakable, luckily though I still have 13 of 17 because I started my grind last night for the motes

I just wish the base look for the exotic was the original like how the legendary one is. I really do not care for the redesign of the exotic looks wise then again like most exotic weapons my main issue is WHY CAN'T WE SHADER THEM?! I know bungie wants to keep selling us ornament that pallet swap them but that would still work if we can shader them because it would flip the colors in the shaders idk LIKE HOW LEGENDARY WEAPON ORNAMENTS WORK. This wouldn't be so infuriating if you couldn't already see what exotics in the kinetic slot look like shadered when inspecting shaders with an exotic in that slot equipped which means the tech is already in the game.... so why can't we do it? Someone explain that

If you don’t think Bungie knew full well the original skin was shit and made the ornament top tier to get you to spend money you’re delusional. And yes I know bright dust can be earned and farmed and yes I got the ornament too.
Bungie needs to clarify that ornaments are not weapons, just skins for the weapons, I bought one thinking it was the weapon itself, took me 30 minutes to figure out it's just appearance, wasted silver 😢 😔 😠

Bungie: strips everything about Khvoshtov we loved, away. Changes the design far from the original, while taking the original design and editing it to be used as an ornament. And make everything about the gun symbolize themselves. Instead of give us what the fuck we paid for.
Classic Bungie. Looks at what we want and makes it about them. Despite earning the worst team award 8 years in a row with only one successful well received DLC and a 800$ campaign campaign spanning multiple 32$ DLCs and an entirely separate game, not to mention the people who BOUGHT DESTINY 2 before it was Ftp. They still continue to kiss their own woke asses and think they're doing good on us, dreaming about the income they'll make when people discover that the Khvoshtov we were expecting is an ornament in the store that costs 15$. I wonder who will be winning shit in their coffee the next time someone recognizes them at Starbucks. 🖕🔥

Bungie did this shit on purpose the one that cost sliver was probably the original idea and then some suit says “why that looks marvelous, make a shittier design and have that be the standard one and make this one cost 700 sliver so the people that want it can buy the $10 sliver pack” still don’t like how that works

Look I’m not gonna lie, the khvostov that you get when you first create a character has such a good design and isn’t too bad for a starter weapon
