This was in early February. From anecdotal evidence while we were there, the weather can be temperamental throughout the winter, which did surprise us to be honest.
Awesome review! Are there two separate charges for the bottom entrance to the Gardens/grounds of Pena palace and for the inside tour of the Palace itself?
They earn about 8hrs*2*275 ppl per 30 min*€20 = €88,000 per day which is about €2.6 M per month. They should take better care of their money generating machine. The Palace needs cleaning and painting and yes, better crowd maintenance. Someday, someone is going to die there because of the crowd. Imagine an earthquake comes, and people run.... stampede.......
Yes, it is true that it is very busy. That is why we got there early (and stayed in Sintra the night before), so we were third in line in the morning. Wasn't busy for us because of this, but I can imagine how horrible it would be walking through the inside later in the day.
When did you visit? I'm planning a trip in December and wonder if the weather is going to be like this in your video!

Kind of. You can either buy a ticket just for the grounds, which is cheaper, or a ticket that includes the grounds and the palace.
Is it worth it
Yes, I would say so.
Where to buy the tickets sir
You can buy tickets on the official website here: bilheteira.parquesdesintra.pt/home/en

Spending so much out of pocket just to see this mouldy castle......
No thank you.
