We know there were six members of the Three Stooges. Joe Besser, who replaced Shemp (who in turn replaced Curly, who had taken Shemp's place when the Stooges were still a stage act), may have his critics to this day but I think he was a nice asset to the trio, as he had been an established comedian before joining the pack. Later in life, Besser expressed some dismay that people only recognized him for his brief tenure with the Three Stooges. However, he eventually softened, realizing that the Stooges continued to bring him his greatest exposure. Whereas with Curly Joe DeRita, although he loved working with Moe and Larry and made a living doing it for 12 years, he was not a fan of the Stooges' humor. He once said in an interview, "I don't think the Stooges were funny. I'm not putting you on, I'm telling the truth-they were physical, but they just didn't have any humor about them. Take, for instance, Laurel and Hardy. I can watch their films and I still laugh at them and maybe I've seen them four or five times before. But when I see that pie or seltzer bottle, I know that it's not just lying around for no reason. It's going to be used for something."

Then after Larry died Moe hired actor last name Sedka (spelling?) you know the one who says, "Hold hands you love birds" in Brideless Groom to be a Stooge but soon died shortly after.

(j/k) It's awesome Curly-Joe DeRita chose to have his headstone engraved with his Stooge identity. I just checked Find-A-Grave, as of this writing, and not even Curly has such a headstone. Curly is laid to rest under his given name Jerome Howard (anglicized from Horwitz).
The outlaws is coming is my favorite stooges movie because of Adam being in it and the Batman the series and movie to me are masterpieces of television and cinema cause I have a blue-ray box set of the series and and standard definition and blue-ray cop of the movie I already new about Lyle Wagner screen testing for the series but him and his Robin didn’t have the chemistry Adam and Burt do I have seen the actual screen tests for both Adam and Lyle on RUclips a few times over the years
I don’t remember The Outlaws Is Coming but I really remember liking The Three Stooges Meet Hercules. Then there’s the one were they go to Venus ( I think) and bring back a unicorn. Of course, the Venusian unicorn, having no natural predators on earth has led to many of the unicorn problems we have today, especially in Australia, but I’m sure they meant well.
The Stooges had more talent in their little pinky than he ever had.Couldn't act his way out of a cardboard box.Series was meant for the 60's,camp value.Nice gadgets but not much more.Didn't care for it when I was growing up.Star trek,Green hornet and Lost in space, along with Time tunnel, Gilligan's island,Munsters ruled
All of the shows you mentioned were great as well. But...c'mon Jaime! Dissing the legendary and much beloved Adam West? Time has been incredibly kind to his memory. 🙂
I loved the 3 Stooges, even the movies. I'm a huge fan of physical comedy, like slapstick as employed by the Stooges and of course, the British comedian, Benny Hill, all the way back to the Keystone Kops and Charlie Chaplin. It is interesting to compare Adam West playing it straight to the comic actors playing the Joker, Riddler, Penguin, etc., and then watching Burt Ward doing the same thing as Robin.
I like to imagine that a Three Stooges and Batman crossover could have been possible since they both appeared in films by Columbia in the 1940s.

Curly died on my birthday.
Is that Joe Besser @1:38, Dave? You showed stills of Larry, Curly, Moe (of course), Curly-Joe and even Joe Besser. What about Shemp? Is Shemp chopped liver to you? (j/k)
It's awesome Curly-Joe DeRita chose to have his headstone engraved with his Stooge identity. I just checked Find-A-Grave, as of this writing, and not even Curly has such a headstone. Curly is laid to rest under his given name Jerome Howard (anglicized from Horwitz).
I love Shemp as well! Someday, he'll get a video of his very own. 🙂
If only…OH! If only!!!!….The Stooges had been brought in as villains on Batman!!!!!
That would have been so awesome!
Another great video Dave, thanks so much. And you are sure right about the world going to pot.
Hello. Dave. Sandstorm. my. Name. Is. Lou. Costa. I. Enjoy. your. Show. God. Bless. you. Enjoy. Your. Day. From. D. J. Lou. Old. School. Classic.
Thanks 👍
Much like Sean Connery was James Bond and all the others played AS James Bond, Adam was Batman, everyone else is just playing him
He became Batman because of a Nestle commercial the producer saw.
Cool 😎👍 Dave
I'm glad you liked it!
The outlaws is coming is my favorite stooges movie because of Adam being in it and the Batman the series and movie to me are masterpieces of television and cinema cause I have a blue-ray box set of the series and and standard definition and blue-ray cop of the movie I already new about Lyle Wagner screen testing for the series but him and his Robin didn’t have the chemistry Adam and Burt do I have seen the actual screen tests for both Adam and Lyle on RUclips a few times over the years
Thanks for sharing, my friend!
Very cool 😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks Tracy!
H i. Dave. Sundstrom. I. Love. Love. the. three. Stooges. boy. Do. I. Love. Them.
The world has gone to pot, literally and figuratively. 😒
Curly Joe was the worst Three Stooge. He was just awful.
I liked them all. 🙂
@@jdsundstrom To each his/her own. There was no timing with him in the mix.
Loved those Three Stooges cartoons Dave. Thanks for mentioning it. Never saw the movie with Adam West.
