No. It's essentially a worse MiG-21SMT; it has a lower TWR. The only thing that's good about the J-7D are it's missiles, without those it's just a very overtiered 10.3 jet.

As a new player 7 weeks, i got this on recent sale...it is not new player forgiving, many will hate on me for buying such a high rank premium...but it is what it is. I prefer the A-5C and i get much done in that one with less effort. Granted they are different, i am sure good players will do well in J-7D but they would do even better in something else like the J-7E. J-7D is certainly not worth full price.
