👉 This original Japanese version of Koji Tamaki is based on the sad true story ... very touching ... you can feel the pain. The Chinese version that Dimash sings has completely different lyrics and thus a different meaning (autumn, longing, loneliness but no pain). Do you remember the story? This song of Koji Tamaki is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling. Next please: Melody - ruclips.net/video/yHPdeWpavxY/видео.html 🌼🇩🇪
It's been ten years since girlfriend died of cancer. but, I can't stop crying when I hear this. . . ikanaide 行かないで → Do not go away. 逝かないで → Please don't die, don't leave me alone. This is double meaning. At that time, I was in a remote area, so I went to the palliative ward where she is housed every weekend. At first, she was able to take a walk in the hospital, but every time I met her, she became emaciated. No matter how much I cried and shouted, she would never come back. It was a song and singing that vividly reminded me of the feelings I had at that time.
The song is so powerful, it seeps into your emotional depth so effortlessly, almost fluidly but before you know it, it grips your heart in ways that pains you like you never felt before.
I understand your feeling, but I think the oboe is more suitable for this song than the flute. Because this is a melancholy song. It is not that the flute is inferior, but it just so happens that the oboe can lead you to more sorrow in this song.
The melody and the passion are the only things that this song has in common with the Chinese version. Lyrically they are completely different songs. Both were beautifully sung. I agree the flute would be better in this version.
@@KatieShesko Lady Katie i do FAN ART for Dimash all the time and you are no exception. I'm so glad you enjoy the FAN ART i post on your instagram!☺️ i do it with love and for fun⭐️
This is a short version of the original version. Koji is a legend in Japan. He is regarded as one of the greatest singer songwriter of all time in Japan. His band is called Anzen Chitai back in the 80s which is still extremely popular in Asia.
Dimash version is not even close compared to Koji. highest form of music is so much more than the high notes or low notes. it can penetrate one's heart.
Hi youngun. Just wanted to know why you're wearing a purple onion on your head. :) I think the oboe was a better choice for Tamaki's version ( and voice) and the flute for Dimash's. No, I'm not a nerdy oboe player!
Thank you Katie for another wonderful video. Nico Cartosio is one of the most talented current classical composers. His album “Melting” is beyond fantastic. The music is dark and examines many stages of us human beings freezing our souls by hate, arrogance, wrath,.....etc. The last composition on the album is “A Song For A”. It represents the hope , the peace, and love as the warmth of the music thaws our frozen souls. It is the only piece of music on the album that is accompanied by a vocalist, 12 years old prodigy Angelina Jordan. The lyrics are adapted from Robert Burns 1783 poem “Rigs O’Barley”. The result is a masterpiece. Angelina Jordan is 15 years old today with more than 150 songs under her belt including some originals. Norwegian who is Fluent in Norwegian and English and speaks/understands Farsi, Swedish, and Japanese. She plays several instruments including piano, flute, and Guitar. I would really appreciate if you can react to her Song “A Song For A” ruclips.net/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/видео.html Thank you and keep up the good work.
I should have added another link to Angelina Jordan’s video at age 10 performing “Summertime” with KORK (Norwegian Radio Broadcasting Orchestra). I’m sure you’ll appreciate the flute among the many other instruments. In Norway it is considered a great honour to perform with KORK even for well established artists not to mention a 10 years old ruclips.net/video/stwF4ti1tbc/видео.html Thanks again
One of my favourite songs! Dimash just did a cover of it at The Tokyo Jazz Festival. It is incredible. You have to react to it! Greetings from London 😀
Dimash just released a new version of this song 3 days ago, from the TOKYO JAZZ FESTIVAL. Its a lot better than his 2017 version on the Show I am a singer.

Dimashがこの歌をカバーしてくれたので、世界に玉置浩二が知られる事になって良かった。
YES!! You just cant beat the original!!!
You just heard the greatest singer in Japan. He is in his 60s here, but in his 30s he was outmatched.
He sounds great for 60 still!!
you mean unmatched im sure
Dimash just sang Ikanaide.
Dimash is like being outmatched really!!!!!!
Dimash es increíble, pero un robot o una IA también lo son. Necesitamos la imperfección de lo humano, una experiencia única, irrepetible y mistica
Dimash made me 😢
Tamaki made me 😭💯
I relate to this because it's exactly how I felt.
He's fantastic.
This forces me to face the saddest and the most cruel side of lives, and that is why I love it, and may be that is why I should love my life.

Since you are a flutist, I'm surprised you haven't yet reacted to Hocus Pocus by the band Focus. I suggest you watch the live version, if you do.

I did react to one of his renditions of this cover. Definitely prompted me to watch the original!
I love dimashs version more, but this is still amazing

I think the intro is a lil too long for the average attention span of youtube watchers. It should be min 10 seconds. 3 seconds is the ideal.
Thanks for your feedback.
