Western Flyer 1960's Bicycle - April 22, 2023

This is a Western Flyer 1960's bicycle my dad had bought me from the local Western Auto store. It's in pretty bad shape but I had kept it with intentions of restoring it which has never happened. Would love to know how many miles are on this bicycle, the chain is missing, rims rotted and pretty much everything else is gone on it. I listed this as free and who got this, they wanted it for a local school play the Wizard of Oz. They will use this bike after a little clean and repaint as a prop for the 1939 classic movie play. It will be for the part Miss Gulch played on her bicycle we all have seen at the beginning of the movie. I got an invitation to attend this play and will see this bicycle once again. What an appropriate way to have its end-of-life fame on a Wizard of Oz stage show. I think this is the best thing that could happen to that wonderful gift my dad gave me!
