Your correct I have a 7'3 94 overall and a 7'2 99 overall sometimes I do a quick spin drop step to the basket I hit the rim an miss and you also correct in the hundreds of hours I have played why I never once got a spin dunk why it always does a slit finger roll or off the back board both are post up I can't shoot but fade ace and hook are much easier,

Then, he has a big man at 6'8, but probably without any interior defense, so with your size, it's normal that you take the advantage under the basket. Then you show only the offensive phases. You may score under the basket, but you don't show the defensive phases, and the defense wins the games. If you play against a real team, I assure you that your big man will be in trouble against smaller big men. At a high level, the attack is mainly played on pick n roll, and with your 7'2 big man, you won't be able to switch on the PG, and you won't be able to follow the roll. Because in this game, speed is more important than size. On the rebound, it's the same, if you're faster, you can position yourself better. I've been playing big man since 2k18, and I've always played with a build at 6'8 or 6'9 and never a big man above 7'0 has dominated me. You may beat me in 1v1 on post, but I'll beat you in iso in 1v1 because I can dribble. I think a big man should not play more than 6'10 in NBA 2k21. Above that, he's too slow, and on top of that, you don't have access to fast shots anymore, you're limited to big man shots. Anyway, I would also like to play real big men, but the game is like that, the size doesn't compensate for all the disadvantages. All this is only my point of view as a big man player. He can’t take advantage of smaller match ups under the basket, that’s why he’s always shooting stepbacks in the paint even after grabbing the board directly under the rim. He knows if he goes back up he’s getting some bs contest from an undersized 5 and even though he has a massive size advantage (see his hand directly over the tin in the vid while his opponent is basically touching the damn net?) his layup misses because as he says in the video, big man contact dunks are fkd up for real big men. He only shows ‘offensive phases’ because that’s the exact reason why bigmen are trash, they can’t score under the damn rim where their advantage should be. And what are you taking about playing a real team? Anyone who has played a proper big in any 2k know they’re cooked on the perimeter in a switch with no help, what’s your point? Grabbing the board, taking a few steps backs and shooting a jumper was a higher percentage shot because 2k logic 🥴 I don’t know about the current state of the game, I stopped playing but I hope it’s better for those that are playing and those things you mentioned actually do work in game like they do irl.

Max height and weight is gonna make your guy super slow especially when you’re matched up against 6’8 or 6’9 centre’s or whatever the meta is atm. Check out 2k labs and tutes, they’ll give you a good idea on which stats to invest in and which just straight up don’t matter. The more research you do the more money you’ll save on broken builds.

A 6’8 player should get dominated in the paint especially on ps5 because no one boosts they interior defense! As far as the pick and roll you can put the center in the corner just like a pg with no defense!

Try making a big with maxed out post control and close shot and a standing dunk and get post badges to test if you can get standing contact dunks

I think the true issue is your close shot at 25. I got a shooting big too but I’ve seen pure insides cook w contested layups
