Oh man... Last night, I legitimately had a nightmare about this stage, and I almost had The Egg Cauldron destroyed. But then a barrage of those things came, and I fell with Tails and Sonic. Whether you love it or hate it, this will make you remember it forever.

This level was hell for me. I got an Xbox 360 recently and I've grown up using Nintendo consoles and playstation, so it was really hard going against muscle memory for the buttons and I died so many times
Same. I literally only got the XBOX 360 for Sonic 06, the "full" Unleashed, and Generations. This stage killed me because I just couldn't get the buttons right. 😂

I didn't find it too difficult. I did find act 2 a bit hard to get through, but then Eggman Land? Come on. That stage is long, hard hell. Then having to get through Egg Dragoon, Dark Gaia and Perfect Dark Gaia *all at once*. Couldn't it at least unlock Dark Gaia? It does after completing the game in the hub world, but can't the hub just be accessible? I guess they wanted make the stage feel more final, but why?

Probably one of the hardest levels to get an S rank. You literally need to kill every single enemy in this stage, not fail a single time and don't get hit. That's why it's soooooo hard to S rank.

But because I grew up on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, I never held an Xbox Controller. With the buttons and letters being on diffirent places during the QTE's. I had to completely reverse engineer my muscle memory. Absolutly worth it though.
I remember when I first got this game when I was way younger, I could never get past this stage for some reason, now I can complete the 1st and 2nd Tornado Defenses with a B or higher, Oh how I improved

What would it of been like if there were no other Sonic games after Sonic Unleashed for a long time. Then, BAM, Sega hits us with a good damn Sonic game after so long. Maybe that would keep the Sonic Fanbase from bitching and being nitpicky. I'm so high off this song right now.
Man, what an amazing song for such an aggravating stage. I grew up on the Nintendo way of controllers, so when I picked up the game for the first time recently on the 360, boy was it hard. I am not good at quicktime events normally, but I basically had to fight against muscle memory as the A, B, X, and Y buttons on an Xbox 360 controller are flipped from that of basically all Nintendo traditional controllers. The colors didn't help. I think I died like 3-4 times, all at the Egg Cauldron and at one point after doing really well in the first part. I got a C rank, and am glad it's over lol. I might revisit it once I get more used to the button layout, but wow was it frustrating at the time

I used to never be able to get past this as a kid, so this song is like ptsd to my 10 year old self. But having beaten the game multiple times now this is a bop, a vibe, and a good time in one package. I also just really love really good synth in music.
