@@IhanaSuloinen I believe Christian Ober has the right idea. "kami" is a used to mean deity or spirit and there are many "kami". Watatsumi is only one kami. They may have Watatsumi in mind when they called the wind "kamikaze" but to explain the word "kami" to mean dragon is not correct. A word for dragon would be "ryu". My understanding may be faulty due to how words are used today.

Kami means "dragon spirit"? Do you mean "divine"? Because I only otherwise see it as the translation for god or even God and related such as "divine."
