Enjoy your videos...actually, I like your honesty, you tend to show more of your thought/fabrication process, and include some mistakes and the fix after...keep it up, great builds
I suggest painting your projects as insurance. Just a thin layer of clear or flat black to keep rust away. Surface Rust is easy enough to remove with a wire wheel, but it will still take time to remove. My 2 cents
Shifter kart looks good!!
Yeah I'd go ahead and put something on them as soon as I was done welding the frame. Watching the last video of him finishing the offroad cart I wondered why he didn't go ahead and spray it then instead of having to take it all apart another time and do all that. They makes black primer if that's not the color he wants it to be. I don't see how they're not totally rusted when he gets around to painting them
Rust adds patina. And that's cool haha. Rust isnt going to make the cart's stop working sure it'll look pretty but, it's not needed.
Lance Shank he uses galvanized steel so it doesn’t necessarily need paint
$100 and it's powder coated, way better than paint!
@@jerretn99 You still need to paint the welds
Finally a go kart channel making a decent go kart
Damn turn the idle down my guy
haha exactly what i was thinking
This is probably my favorite of you builds and would love to see a small suspension setup on it and some off-road use with it
Tap a line to your exhaust chamber, 1/4 ish line two or 3 coils, and feed it into your fuel canister if you want to put it down low at the steering wheel. needs to be pressure sealed..I learned this from RC 2 stroke racing days. It builds pressure in the lines, forcing the fuel up like a fuel pump. Called the chicken feeder method... works like a champ... all the racers use it...
Ooooh I will be using this!
Looks awesome and fun!! That smile on your face when it stared was priceless!!😎
feels like ive bin waiting for years for this vid
Awesome series bro 🤙🏾 I wish I was able to do this, living in London really takes away some freedom 😩
3:43 is the smile of success... good job!
Keep doing what you doing!I like it when you test up the road.Doesnt bore me,so keep it coming and have fun
9:50 What i have done is making a very small gas tank just above the carb with 3 nippels (in, out and return), and have it constantly being filt up by an electric fuel pump. then you can place a big tank where ever you want.
Good luck
This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Put the tank and pump on however you want and just feed it to the small tank on top.
He just need a T joint as a return line, just install the pump and let the carburator take the amount of fuell that needs and the rest goes back to the tank. that´s how I install that pump in my 1976 datsun 160J
Yes you can use a pulspump. Early 2 cycle personal watercraft had them. Good luck and keep up the good work!
When they have the tank under the steering wheel they gotta have some type of way to pressurize the system , pulse pump should work , if not a you could use a small fuel pump and some sort of pressure regulator
Yes paulse pumps were on snowmobiles and worked great with the mikuni carbs nice work
Some wheel alignment tips for you and your viewers:
If your wheel (top) is leaning inward toward the centerline of the chassis you have negative Camber. If it leans outward it’s Positive Camber. Negative Camber will cause the tire to wear on the inside of the tread area. Positive Camber will cause outside wear. So you may have excessive Negative Camber on the one side. However the pull to the Left is probably caused by something else. Your CASTER angles may be off. Caster won’t cause tire wear but will cause a pull.
So here’s how it works: A vehicle will pull to the side with the most Positive CAMBER. It will also pull to the side with the more Negative CASTER. So you could have excessive Negative CAMBER on the left side and either mot enough Positive CASTER on the Left side or too much + CASTER on the Right side.
Toe in or out will NOT cause a pull. Just tire wear & erratic steering.
I love the hand kick start
Hello bud
Chase Lukin lol hi XD
I really want that shifter cart, I will work on it all the time. I'm going to automotive class in high school
Lawrence White what?
Ellis Berry what
I've run pulse pumps on two strokes before, only once on a dirt bike motor, but it was fine. used them often on two stroke flathead motors.
you can add a pulse pump to a two stroke, it's how my old ez go golf cart's two cycle engine's fuel pump works. so it will work, you'll need to tap into the crank case to make it work though. it's where mine is tapped in at.
Most chainsaws and brushcutters work on the pulse pump concept aswell
@@Rossi46Moore ...as well as all the old 2-stroke outboard engines.
most old snowmobiles have pulse pump my polaris indy 400 1988 have one. you only need to make a crank case nippel to feed the pump. =)
a simply hand gear shift next to the steringwheel will help to drive it. Simply as you have to pull or push, like sequential gear changes in rally cars
Awesome build
that cart looks sweeeeeeeeet. great job can't wait to see it finished
best build yet since the street bike go cart
You can add an impulse pump but you need to tap the crank case ,, check out a snowmobile motor . Dirt bikes fuel systems are gravity fed because the tank is above the carb but most other 2 strokes have a pump or even an impulse carb
Yep that motor needs a top end build for certain you kick started by hand is a sign your compression ratio is low and the fact it dies under any load
U killing that clutch home boy
you make it look so easy to built it
i hope i will do it in the future
Awesome videos and this kart is just so friggen sick. After I decided to wreck my yz 80, I think this may just be a good way to salvage a perfectly good motor, so thanks for the great build idea, and looking forward to your next vid.
Brilliant video, been watching your videos on and off for the last two years. Do you reckon you could do a video on how to make a basic mini bike? Like the Coleman brand ones. We don’t have them over here in the UK and I’d love to make one
Cheers

Your engine is in better shape than my yz 86 all together
I think a fuel pump on a 2-stroke is possible if you do the elecrics in a way so the pump works only if there's no more fuel in the carb. Then the pump refills the carb and if it is full, it shuts off...
How did you do the shift handle and yes you can put a pulse pump on a 2 stroke engine
I was wondering the same thing haha
Nice job on the build 👍😎🚗💨💨💨
Hey I have a little tip for driving with a motorcycle sequential gearbox: Learn to power-shift! Shifting Without the clutch. Pull lightly on the shifter for the next gear, and then just snap off the gas and back on it again, and the shifter should select the next gear with minimal effort. If you are unsure, LOok up some youtube videos for clutchless shifting on youtube. Also do yourself another favor and make the shift lever taller, so its closer to the steering wheel.
Also, You can add a pulse pump to a 2 stroke. You get your pulse from the crank case
For a streamlined look, I would, suggest to put the gas tank lower,'or at yiur back. Then, why not adjust your shifter with a longer stick,,so'yiur hand travel, sill be less. Excellent job ! And,,why not put some butt padding,,for comfort.
Love this i always wanted one might build 1 soon
You Can ADD a pulsepump, connect the pulse hose to the connector between the carb and engine :-)
I see a new welder!!!
what is the name of the welding machine he's using
KleChi His name is Mr. Sparky
Every 2 stroke chainsaw and weed wacker has a pulse pump built into the carburetor. I think yours will work, LOL.
Would have loved to have you as a friend when I was much younger lol
And I'll give a tip mate that us riders don't share very much.. use clutch for take off and stopping all other 'UP' shifts can be clutchless as long as you let off the throttle, you can do clutchless down shifts but there is some technique involved.
Excellent video -- best ever on the "Just Do It Scale" a 10+ out of 10 -- Do you have a source for the tub stock you are using? Please
Interesting video , just got a my self a 2stoke kart to play with
awesome mate... Feels like I've succeeded😀😀😀, just watching your first test run.... Cheers....
Great editing and music on this video
Older 2 stroke jetskis have pulse pumps, might want to check into getting one of those
Brother I like your bike very much
you got a new welder!
I was just thinking to myself in one of his last videos.. As a hobby welder, I'm personally pretty impressed with what Chris has managed to do with his flux core welder and that if he got a slightly nicer welder and some C25, his results would be simply amazing!
11:11 For watching you line up the steering on bricks ya did pretty darn good. Wonder if it's the steering bracket or the axle angle on the spindle?
exhaust pipe pulse pump will work you just have to tweek the inlet size a bit
Ya you can snow mobiles do have a puls pump ? But if you want to put one on this youl need to dril a hole in the block ☹️ for a fiting and that is skechy! best spot is on the reed cage part of the cylinder after the reeds or it won’t work you can remove the reeds stick a rag in there and drill carefuly! tap it npt and vola!!
You need a larger rear sprocket. Yz 85's have no bottom end and do great with lower gearing. Stock yz85 gearing is 14/47 and that's good for 60 mph. Not sure why you'd choose top speed over acceleration but whatever its your build.
Because the YZ 85 actual rear tire is say 20 inch`s tall , the go kart tires are like 8 or 10 inchs tall ,> smaller tire increases the gear ratio ......
Bills BuildAll exactly
Bills BuildAll but a 20t,22t,24t seems way too small. Not sure what kind of speed he was getting since he never said but problems with acceleration is not ideal.
This is a great point, but remember the rear wheels he's using are much smaller than a stock YZ85. You lose some gear ratio with larger wheels/tires. I'm very curious to see what his top speed is though.
Bills BuildAll as u can see he does need a bigger rear cuz its stalling out alot (in its the clutch too) but as soon as he let out the clutch it stalls
Good job !
you can try the make fuel pump like the rc car work. take a tube out of the exhaust in to fuel tank. and the pressure will push fuel into the engine.
Your follower from Egypt I love you
A question, would you please reply to the name of the machine with which the iron was damaged?
And how much does it cost? I love this work
Hey what size is the piping
Hey I've seen people use pulse pumps with two stock shifter karts on RUclips so you can have the Gas tank mounted below The carburetor but I've also seen the day recommend running t split with the gas lines above the engine so the gas Enters the engine gravity fed still And they use the other part of the t for a return line to the gas tank. So you dont have problems with Flooding the engine
You should take and make a actual shift lever that sticks straight up so you don’t have to keep reaching your hand down to the shifter you have
Weld a nut to the end of kick start spline then you can start it with a impact drill or something
You have the skills !!!!!!!!
A vac diaphragm pulse pump would be optimal. They run them on float carbbed 2 stroke snowmobiles so why not.
Hello, came over from quadricers. you got yourself another sub.
Amazing build and video! :D
Yes you can run a pulse pump on a two stroke. I remember a couple of years ago that another man was running one and that day the pump just quit and he or no one else had a pump at the track
The engine sounds like it could be lean at least on the idle jet, the slow climb in rpm when it is started is what makes me think this is the case.
yes you can add a pulse pump that's how it is on 2 stroke snowmobiles
I’m trying to build my what size is the tubing
How long and wide is this awesome kart?
good car, thanks for the videos
Good job
Already saw Quadricers video its a really nice kart
Of course you can put a pump on a 2 stroke is something mandatory for a racing kart the fuel tank is under the steering usually
You might not need a fuel pump for that motor. As long as the feed for the carb is at the bottom of the tank these pressure of the fuel might feed it. I think that's how it works and it's the same on all shifter carts. You've got the tank you might as well try it.
Vacuum pulse fuel pumps are on 2 stroke golf carts and snowmobiles so I'd say you can
For a pulse pump you would have to tap into the intake.
Also I wouldn’t recommend a pod filter, probably just a foam filter with some filter oil on it
do you have the frame draw plans?
You are a fabrication GENEOUS
Hi, I want to build a go-kart, but I have a hard time making the plan. Could you tell me which one you used?
Broo aunque no pude entender nada quedé impresionado como lo lograste si pudieras traducir el vídeo uff quisiera tener alguna ayuda en español para hacer uno siempre eh querido pero en donde vivo no se ve los wocars 👍🙌
Thats cool😀
hi!!Im new to this kart hobby!!For a beginner like me, where should i start, mainly with the engine and breaking systems!?
5:33 мазда Трибьют как у меня) Прикольный карт получился
1/8 toe in, if u haven't already. this is what we ran on all are racing karts.
Yes you can add a pulse pump...that is how most snowmobile engines feed fuel to there carb...your all good...a pulse pump actually works better on a two stroke
Felicidades ! seria muy lindo verlo andar en pista
You may want to put tire finder on to keep crap out of the radiator or a screen on the radiator
very good video😎😎👌
Would a question activate the subtitles for which we do not speak much English?
hi, in Russia we have a saying about these" Golden hands"
Attaboy! keep it up! like!
What welder did you use? Flux core?
Todo excelente carnal! Pero no vi a cómo es que instalaste el freno
Nice one again! :)
you should a bigger sprocket on that thing!!!
I’m trying to build one how did you do the wires like the spark and all of it
Where did u get the rad tubbing? Wanting to put a yz80 motor on a 110 quad and need some help
You should idle it down some
Osama Bin laden ya
Sounds like the idle is from a lean condition. Needs carb work for sure.
Wicked awesome 😛
Have you thought about putting a bottom on it
hi, i was wondering what kind of metal did you use, for the frame
Your water neck on your radiator needs to be the highest point in the system, your hoses cannot be higher than your waterneck or else air bubbbles will form and you will overheat
