The Cars of Half Life 2

A short little video going over the cars in Half Life 2. There aren't many vehicles in valve games let alone actual drivable ones. Maybe it's just a limitation they had with the source engine at the time but still Valve did a pretty stellar job on hl2.

As an Eastern European it was quite interesting after playing so many games set in the west wandering around HL2 and seeing all these cars and trucks I recognize and even driven some of them.

You should make one on the cars of Left 4 dead 2 and Left 4 dead they have many cars. Jimmy gibbs car should be included despite technically driving in it as a finale

Truck 001 have green and blue variation
Car 001 technically has 2 "undamaged" (yellow and orange) and two heavily damaged variations (blue and pink(?))

slight correction, in the video you said that car 003 is a Moskvich 412, when in reality it is a Moskvich 2140. Great video besides that, also your pronounciations seem perfect.

3:17 Nope, it was the 24 model, not the 24-10. Look at the interior and the door handles. It was an outdated vehicle even for it's time, compared to what Americans manufactured in the 60's and 70's. The 24 had a mid 60's American design with front facia that's being stolen from the Falcon 62, which came out 8 years earlier. No power stearing, no power brakes, no power windows, no power seats, no rear seatbelts, no V8 engine for the civilian version, no automatic transmission for the civilian version, old carbureted engine from the 50's (since GAZ-21) which was used until the fall of USSR with basically zero improvements during those 40 years, bad built quality (it was breaking down every 3-4 months). And the list goes on and on. And that was considered the best and most luxurious vehicle at the time for the top 1% of the Soviet society.

What I refer to as a car is a passenger vehicle designed primarily for personal transportation, while trucks are used for carrying cargo or hauling. That's why I made the distinction, cars, and trucks are both land vehicles.
