I agree 100%. A dodge demon doesn't come close to matching this car straight from the factory. The 720s is hands down one of the best sports cars for the money.
I totally agree with you but Demon has house weight and same horsepower with 720s. 720s is straight slaughter but Dodge Demon deserves an award. 85k car goes 10.1 sec. They went even 9.7 sec with drivermod launch.

Fastest stock demon is currently 10.23. Demonology went 9.85 with 4 mods. Fastest stock 720s is 9.733. 720s wins no matter how you look at it. Stock vs stock, even best stock vs best demonology time. No contest.
Smarter Than You demon is my favorite car but I think demonology makes us look stupid. He's got several mods and he's only run a 9 once. 720s has done it stock several times.

The track is cold and slippery that's why RWD suffers even with good engineering. Actually the 720S beats the 918 on a roll and there is a video of it.

Just ONE of his mods involved him hacking up the rear brakes so that he could fit a smaller, stickier full race slick drag radial, and he has several others. I'd argue that's an even bigger and harder mod than an intake or exhaust.

Ok, don't even know how to kick this off but i've been a bike rider for over 10 years now, all liter bikes ranging from 174 to 200 crank horses and the acceleration on those things is just face warping, ya just can't wrap your head around how fast a 200 hp bike accelerates. That being said, seeing THIS FUCKIN' THING, not only keeping up with a S1000RR, but also pulling on it at the top end, IS JUST FUCKIN' INSAAAANEEEE..This a road car that weighs 8 fuckin' times more, man, what the actual livin' fuuaaccckkk??? If you lightly modify this bitch to touch 1000 hp, THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHNG on the face of the Earth under $1milion that can stand its ground against it . I'm done, i'll see myself out now :(

My favorite part is that the Dodge Demon sole purpose is to race the Quarter Mile, the McLaren was made for the track yet the 720s beats it. Go McLaren
You have to be one of the best automotive challenges. You own a cool collection of cars but actually race them. The 720s by far is the best supercar for the money to exist. It delivers everything you could ask from a supercar but does it for literally cheaper then a Ford lol. Cars go for a couple million that are slower then the 720s in every scenarios. Drag, roll, freeway top end etc. Keep up the great content brother 💪

The best car channel ever it has only lost 2 times against porche 918 and a heavly modded gtr.
On a better surface with warm tyres it could have matched the 918. It was slipping all over the place. Had no chance against that 1250bhp GTR though. Try say 1250bhp without laughing its mad 😂

There are literally so many cringey videos out there now of people saying how demons are faster than the 720s apparently because of that one time demonology beat streetspeed... Those mopar fans also think that a wheel and tire mod still makes it stock too which is hilarious. Yet the mclaren still sets better times on low profile street tires compared to Hoosier slicks on the demon. I'm not even a mclaren fan but it's a far faster car if you look at the plain facts . Every single demon that's done a sub 10.0 has been modded in some way whether it be tires or tuned. Multiple stock 720's have done 9.7-9.9's at 140-145+. Bone Stock demons are getting 10.2-10.5 at 130-135. Just a rant but I hope some mopar fan who disagrees with me can reply to this so I can laugh.
I’m a mopar/demon fan. I don’t consider demonologys car stock anymore. But since all the demon haters have made the standard that a tire change is a modded car now that’s what we have to roll with for every car here on out. A tire never meant your car was modded before the demon. Anyways, for the money, the demon is a better deal. I don’t see any cornering in any of the 30-40 races Brooks did. Or anywhere on RUclips for that matter. Spend $200k less and get a car that’s
.1-.3 secs slower and still have a warranty is pretty incredible.
@@RyanLS Every "fast list" I've seen, mostly for cars I've owned, have separated cars with drag radials from factory cars, and rightfully so. They typically lower times by 0.6 seconds. Take a look around. Porsche, Corvette, viper, bmw m cars, anything you'd like. But hey, at least you're sensible. Most the demon fans are borderline insane. The demon is one of my favorite cars but i can't stand the stupidity. Intakes cost around $250. Drag slicks are nearly triple the cost.

I disagree that there’s an enough of an aero difference to impact the mph that much...
And as far as weight...it’s an unsanctioned, “run what ya brung” race...so relative weight is not considered.

Basically every car, including the Lambos (excluding the Teslas), but especially magnified by the true manual transmission cars, like the Ford GT, loses distance with each shift. The 720s just shifts so fast it gains distance every time a competitor shifts.
I also agree 100%. I had the opportunity to run laps Sebring and I have say it’s more than capable of running in the 2:teens on street tires! Everything aheads of us was passed including the famed GT3RS...

On paper they seem similar, but the Mac is far quicker than claimed. The 812 and tdf both got dominated, so I don’t see the pista being in the same planet
@@RRR_Motorsports pista is a lot faster than 812 and TDF, from 0-124 it actually beat mcalrens time, Car And Driver did it in 7.2 sec vs Mclaren 7.8, so i see it being a good race

I think the biggest take away is the reliability and repeatability of the 720s' performance. How many 9 sec cars can run back to back 9s for a year and what??? Need a new set of tires at the end of it??? Not snapping axles, frying clutches, rebuilding engines or anything of the sort? We live in an incredible time. Keep it up! And if you ever get tired of the 720s running high 9s, say "screw it", hook up direct port N20 and try for 8s!!!

Lost to the Nissan GT-R 12plus bhp and I agree 918 it took the Mclaren but mclaren wheel span up till 3gear.
Would like to see a fair race with the 918 again.

28W-2L just makes you realize power isn’t everything. Aero is a huge portion in a race and Mclaren has perfected that.
Also Mclaren's are really light and really good at putting down that power without spinning. 700hp to the wheels and around 3000lbs can do insane things.

I think I might have gotten 4 or 5 different kinds of cancer from reading all the comments.
Apart from the 918 Spyder and a big-hp GT-R, the Macca 720S puts everything down in stock v. stock form. Demons might be the exception, depending on the criteria for comparison as “stock”.
I’ve gotta wonder why we can’t all celebrate the greatest era in automotive performance we’ve ever seen, and with no end in sight so far. Give the McLaren its due props for being a rear-drive supercar that puts down its under-rated power to get its light weight down the dragstrip or around a circuit as a top tier competitor.
Also give kudos to Dodge and the Demon boys for even manufacturing such a car with specialized abilities. A Demon has 2 stock forms: one as it rolls out, and the other with all included crate items added (which also allows/requires race fuel). So note those differences and compare accordingly. It’s a win-win for all of us to have quite a few sub-10&11&12-second cars by so many manufacturers.
