Thoroughly appreciated the seasonal advice and the blooming spectacle you witnessed! Your bear encounter tips are invaluable, it's not everyday you get such practical insights for trail explorers.

It clearly was on your todo list for a while ! You may feel an overcast weather isn’t ideal but while hiking I rather do it without the sun beating me ! I loved the fact you described the route nicely. (Nothing worse than walking around senseless) well done Christy ! I am a new subscriber and I will come back for more. Eddie.

I love the blue ridge parkway! I've only really down the VA side but, it's some of the best driving and hiking I've ever done. Good on you for coming back every year to get there in time of the blooms. The views from the trails are amazing. I'll have to mark down this area outside Asheville for the next time I come through. I appreciate the depth of info you go into as to how to get there from Asheville as well as hotels to stay along the way. A true, natural tour guide. Be beary careful when around the cubs. Momma don't mess around. It amazes me how big the bear population is out there. An excellent adventure Christy

It's crazy how every time you go on the same trail it can be a different experience depending on weather. 3 years in the making! Wow. Way to stick with this one. I love the trail with the tunnel feel up the trail. Looks so beautiful. I really liked this video as I love hiking. I assume there wasn't full bloom of flowers at the entrance because it doesn't get as much sun like up the mountain. This hike looks great to bring my little guy

Those trees and foliage make it look like something out of Lord of the rings. So cool 😎 I think I could handle the bees as long as I could get that view. Lol. I like that its short hike with a great view and you can still get a good view even from the parking lot

I wish I knew about your channel before I went to Asheville! I went on the Blue Ridge Parkway but I took the parkway on the way back to Atlanta. I ended up stopping at the Devil’s Courthouse peak to take photographs. But I would love to check out this area. Looks nice! Saving this for my next trip to Asheville!

What a great place! Finding the right time to go is sometimes difficult! I know because I live in an area with pear and apple blossoms. They come and go around April, beginning of May. But one year they're early and this year they were very late...
Anyway, I wouldn't think about bears, something we don't have to worry about here in Europe.
And good to warn people to take a trash bag, because we sure do want to #leavenotrace!
