You should read the issues they pointed out in the email regarding why your results have been withheld and ensure you do not repeat those mistakes. For example, if it's grammar, work on your tenses. If it's your intonation, improve your pronunciation.

According to the Oxford English Language Level Test (ELLT) policy, if there is a significant difference of 4 or more Oxford ELLT levels between two or more skills assessed in the test, it necessitates a thorough investigation and re-marking of the exam. We
regret to inform you that such a discrepancy has been identified in your test scores.
During the remarking process, despite our efforts, we have been unable to verify your English proficiency level accurately. The discrepancy across different skills persists, making it challenging to determine your true English level.
To clarify, a discrepancy in results means there is a noticeable difference or inconsistency between your proficiency levels in various skills. For instance, you may demonstrate a C1 level proficiency in written English but only a B1 level proficiency in spoken
English. This discrepancy indicates that your overall English proficiency cannot be reliably determined.
Your results have been withheld due to the large discrepancy between your speaking and writing skills and we cannot verify your results as the two do not correlate.
Overall:
In this assessment, you demonstrated good receptive skills in reading and listening. Your writing was logically organised and contained relevant arguments. You demonstrated that you are able to produce complex grammar structures and use a variety of topic-specific
vocabulary with a relatively high degree of accuracy. For speaking, you were able to present ideas and respond to questions using relevant language, but frequent errors in grammar and pronunciation impeded communication and resulted in some incoherence. You
were not speaking authentically in your presentation, so this stage could not be assessed accurately. Responses were unclear, difficult to follow and, at times, incoherent. Hesitations, pausing and repetition disrupted your flow of speech, and pronunciation
caused significant communication issues and may not be understood in an international academic setting. Overall, based on the assessment of all four skills, there is a large difference between your speaking and the other skills, particularly the writing.
Writing:
The writing fully met the task. You discussed the advantages and disadvantages of attending university later in life, with most of the main ideas being well-supported and developed to inform the reader. A good awareness of academic register and formal essay
conventions was shown. The content was logically organised, it was coherent, and a good range of cohesive devices were used, with some repetitive and inaccurate use ("Furthermore - Moreover - Again"). There were distinct paragraphs that separated and/or contrasted
the main ideas/arguments of the text, but your thesis statement did not state the given topic correctly. Your fourth paragraph was somewhat unclear and could have been better integrated. The range of complex grammar structures and vocabulary demonstrated was
great. You used a wide variety of simple and complex grammatical forms and topic-specific lexis with some flexibility, though there were some appropriacy errors and confusion over word choice. You demonstrated a relatively high degree of accuracy and control
of complex grammar and lexis, with some good use of more complex structures, though these were not always used accurately. Mistakes in word form/choice, capitalisation, spacing, sentence structure, prepositions, article use and punctuation did not lead to
misunderstanding ("make a better decision in his study - later students - Moreover, As a later student,one has - face financial challenges covering his tuition cost with his own family responsibilities - they are comparatively busier than early life - adjust

Speaking Stage 2:
The task was not met because you were not speaking authentically. This was demonstrated through mispronunciations indicative of reading ("meaningful"; "reducing"; "steps"; "accomplished"; "fulfilment") and unnatural intonation and pausing. You used suitable
language, but it was not produced spontaneously. Errors in sentence structure and word choice/form, in tandem with mispronunciations which registered as lexical errors, impeded communication at times ("every single us has goals - clear discussion will more

and unnatural intonation and pausing. The lexis and grammar selected were suitable but did not show a great range or complexity, and there was limited control over structures. Errors in grammatical structures and lexis were frequent and impeded communication,

In the visual prompt task, you were able to describe the image and answer related questions, but responses were unclear and, at times, incoherent. Some parts did not sound authentically produced. You used relevant language, but there were many issues with accuracy
and pronunciation which caused some confusion ("restaurant is decorated very important - I visit the local student - after decorated restaurant very clearable"). There were frequent hesitations, pausing and repetition, and pronunciation caused significant
communication issues.
We understand that this may be disappointing, however, we want to assure you that this decision is based on careful consideration alongside carefully re-examining all sections of your test. We have a duty to be sure of all results before releasing them and
ensure fairness and accuracy in assessing English language levels. Therefore, we cannot release the results at this time.
Should you wish to retake the Oxford ELLT, you have the option to purchase a new licence.
