It's albanian and then when you came from the caves of the Urals you found it here.Its ours because of the physical construct of the instrument.Albanian lahute is smaller which means much more primitive.Also we sing in octosyllabyles and you in decasyllabyles wich means our way of singing is much more primitive hence older.
@KosovoReport Serbian - The highland lute probably came from Persia/Iran since ancient times. It is a beautiful instrument; I did not know that Serbia had this instrument as I had not seen it played in BelgradeTV (until very lately). Albanians are back with progress, so the lute was played regularly in Folk Festivals even during the communist times; but most people especially from the cities frawned upon the lute as a backwarded instrument and only played by uneducated highlanders (malisor as they are called in Albania). To me the lute is a beautiful instrument, congrats to Serbia for registering it with World Heritage; I have lately searched and watched a few lute (gulse) songs from Serbia and Montenegro; as an Albanian I can say I like your songs too. Politics is a totally different thing. Pozdrav!
