Robert Plant playing bass!
Boy! Those guys still look good
Thanks! Way better quality than my 1980 version.
Amazing!!👋👋👋
Night Flight is where I first seen this footage...great to see it again thanks Mark !!! Plant the most underrated bass player LOL it looks like Plant and Jones were having a unique moment both on bass. Fun to watch, Bonham should of had more camera time ;)
yay, thanks so much, I caught a glimpse of JB at 3:52 😍
I saw this when they showed it on the Mike Douglas show back in 1979, actually faked being sick so I wouldn't have to go to school and could watch it, I was super disappointed that they barely showed him. I have the vinyl album, you can hear Bonham actually doing triplets in the breaks more than you can hear it here, but I was super disappointed that it barely showed him playing his green Ludwig kit. He wasn't mentioned in the cut introduction but Robert Plant was on guitar also, of course Jonesy bringing the Boogie on the bass. It was cool that 3/4 of Zeppelin was there playing. Earlier in the show Robert Plant sang with RockPile and did a killer version of Elvis Presley's "Little Sister." Sadly 9 months later John Bonham was gone.
@@chrispix61 Oh thanks for that story, I love anything to do with LZ, I don't blame you for skipping school,I would've done that too! I didn't know there was a vinyl recording, need to find that as I adore anything Bonham-related. I spent the whole vid looking at the drummers up top to see him. Shame it was just a few seconds at the end, I would have loved to see more of him.

Wish I could have been there!!!!
Macca....... What a pro
🌠Alright ...really cool..think I saw buck drama from blue oyster cult on the left ..rockin 4 a good cause...
Townsend was completely drunk
No he wasn't, Pete Townsend always had a weird sense of humor, if you remember they had just lost Keith Moon who had a heavy drinking and drug problem less than a year before this.
😂🤣😂🤣
Imagine mixing this bunch, most of their guitars has to have been off of the mix
Is planty playing the guitar here?
its the bass!
Что-то Планта совсем запихнули на задний план.)
Is everyone stoned?
Is that Percy playing Macca's Hofner bass?
Looks like it. No pickguard, right-hand bass based on the shape of the headstock. Good catch!
I can hear Bonham laying it down. Never seen this before, wild. What a jam.
The amazing Rockestra!
Went back in time to tell Paul not to take his weed to Japan.
Didn't listen
See only jonh Bonham... 😢
