Obviously you didn't read the pinned comment, they have hair because it looks better design wise in my opinion. Without hair, what would they have? Ears. Do skeletons have ears? Nope! So I'd rather make them have hair because in my opinion it looks better. Also they're magical skeletons who can summon gaster blasters, that can eat and whatnot without stomaches. I think making them have hair is ok

This is an AU. Also if we are talking canonically, then he also cant have ears but if you remove the hair you have ears on a skeleton. I opted the hair looked better.
