    Last year my sorrel didn’t winter over at all, those beeches just kept trucking on.

    We pile leaves on ours. Sometimes I chop them with a weed eater in a trash can and then pour them on. Other times just whole. Especially when I have new beds to fill and need to save money.

      That's a great idea, I'll be doing that in some of my beds!
