Their team is smart, they banned the most effective counters to storm before the match, which is not the case in lower ranks, so if you try storm in any league below diamond and your storm is shut down by a Hela or Starlrod, then don't feel bad.

I can't tell you how many times ill see dps switch from Hawkeye to Hela to Punisher to Starlord to Namor to ALL in one game. I just hit Plat with Storm yesterday I want to be more in depth with her and Benboh was one of the Storm mains that helped me get better with her just by watching them play
Something that you might have missed (5 min in rn). A lot of lower level storms tend to want to rush back from spawn to re-enter the team fight and they often waste their boost to speed back into the team only to end up losing a bunch of damage potential or repositioning potential by the time they get back to the team fight.
Not sure if mentioned, theres a greater advantage sticking to the left, and peaking right if that makes sense. Still abuse both sides, but the left side is stronger
Also she's aiming with her movement quite abit, it can be challenging moving your mouse too much while moving, she's adjusting by strafing. Storm has the luxury of all angles to be able to do this

I think she was just underrated in the players eyes. Win rate isn't everything, but she had a higher win rate than common duelists like Moon Knight, Winter Soldier, and Punisher. And way higher than two of the most common strategist picks in C&D and Jeff. Then they went and buffed almost every part of her kit. Marvel Rivals probably won't update their stats anytime soon, but some places show a win rate around 57-58%.
I started playing marvel rivals 2 weeks before season 1 started. Mained storm instantly because of how trash scarlet witch is, I had a little over 20 hours playtime and hit diamond before I quit and waited for next season and I barely struggled during my climb.
I actually don't think her storm/lightning ability boosts her own attacks. Or at least not her "lightning arc" ability. I really can't tell the difference anyways for basic attack, but I did test the lightning arc. So that makes the speed boost actually very useful at times. If you're being focused by hitscans or something, it really throws off their aim. Especially while strafing + going up and down (pause). The "empowered" storm also slows enemies. Very useful against any dive character going for your back line. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a nerf of some kind soon. People already hitting me with the "broken character" 🤣.
No not at all, I've been maining her a while now, she is most certainly not a Hela. But you stay with your team right in the middle and shoot through everyone farm your ult and kill enemy I would argue that this player in this video isn't using the ultimate as good as they could, you want to be using it and dragging yourself from the backline to the frontline so you survive when it ends

This is one of the two grandmaster+ Storm players of season 0 and he is GOOD.Frankly its kinda very hard to climb solo queue with Storm, you need a good team with healers, notice he also has Lunas mark on him.Although i do main Thor and this season when we get a Storm with me giving her even more dmg, they all rock.

I would argue the person in this video isn't using her ult as well as possible. You want to ult the healers force the ult or kill them and pull out after they die back to the front line so you can live and get healed and keep buffing your team Your more useful alive with 1 healer dead than dead
You’re better off baiting the support ults then using her ults to actually kill the supports and dps if you watch BenBohs videos you see him frequently killing 3-4 people because he uses it when the supports don’t have their ults

I’ve been making Storm for a few weeks now; Hela can be annoying if she keeps at range but Storm absolutely destroys Starlord.

She is more dangerous on the ground because of her circle radius under her is much larger for damage buff and movement buff for your teammates.

Not Hela no. Hela has an incredibly quick time to kill, Storm does not. She can't score headshots.
