It's actually way more comfortable and it's easier to adjust. Just take the bolt out, pull the shifter off the shaft and adjust to where is best for you.
@@Dpezz41 I'm the same - still got the DT125 and loving it! Really responsive both on & off road. Longer warm ups now the temps have dropped but runs sweet on choke whilst I get helmet, globes & gear on😁
That's awesome! Glad you got it all worked out. I do think though if you were to decide to switch to a straight shifter system you would really like it. Sometimes the stock linkage binds up.
@@Dpezz41 ya having a problem with that now I got to like relly hit it into first but otherwise the bike is perfect I’m thinking a out putting the yz 85 front forks on it for jumps dose anyone know if it will fit
@@JCproduction0 I believe if I've heard correctly that to do the forks you need the entire front end. Pretty sure it's a direct swap though. The forks legs themselves won't fit into the stock ttr triple tree. I've seen the entire setup on eBay for around $300.
I think I actually ordered it off of either Motosport.com or Rockymountainatvmc. Those are the 2 online sites I use the most so it's either one of them.
Hey Neo. In Rockymountainatvmc.com it is part number 90109-06815-00. Just go to the oem part finder. Whatever your year is for the ttr and go to where the diagram for the shift shaft is and it is item number 19. Thanks for watching!
Thanks great video keep them coming!
quick question with the shifter being placed more up front is it still comfortable?

U still got the TTR? Real nice bike😁
@dt125guy7 oh yeah I'll never get rid of it. Thank you!

Just got a 2001 ttr and the shift lever is very lose should I just get a new one
Might as well. That whole link system on the stock one is a mess. Is it loose on the main bolt or at the linkage?
@@Dpezz41 I fixed it a couple washers and she fit on there snug

@@vinces411 no problem! I'm going to try to be a little more active on here. Any suggestions on what you might like to see?
What was the name of the first bolt you took off? I just lost mine on my 125 and don’t know the name of it
