Just got and in the process of breaking in a black diamond 308 and the gas relief and flash suppressor makes it have just a little more but not much than a 22 hornet that I have killed thousands of varmit and deer in noth Texas wooded areas. Have shot countless rounds killing elk mountain goat and karaboo with a skeleton stock 300 win mag.and loveing every shot. Longest with 300 865 yards up the side of a mountain. This bran new ar10 black diamond can carry a flat 10 shot spred pattern of 90 degrees and never lose the site pattern in a 42mm scope. Smoothes gun on the market with that much knok down and speed.

One big point that he may have forgotten to mention is to check with local DNR rules on night hunting.. In my state of Michigan, our cut off is .269 for night hunting. No larger caliber is allowed, at least below the "shotgun line " in the lower peninsula.. Shot gun line being the line across the state where tapered, or necked cartage rifle rounds are prohibited in hunting most typical game, and where, ( it used to be ) only shotguns were allowed.

AR 5.56 pistol 10.25in barrel suppressed. Falls under concealed pistol license can leave loaded on tripod ready to go from spot to spot makes getting out quick easy and quiet. Most my locations here in Michigan are going to be around 100 yard shots with 250 max

I only use a 308 bolt with suppressor, and both thermal and regular scope with quick detach on a rail. I load lead 180 gr for subsonic, 110 varmints for 'yotes, 150-180 for deer and elk. Use the same gun here in Montana for most anything around my place............
