Hello? Dr. Sheaffer, VMD are you there? Yes, I am. Oh, good, good. Welcome to the Today Show. I saw you today. I'm doing great. I was just introducing everybody to a little bit of your background there with the Clark Veterinary Clinic and. Why don't we jump right in? Your background is, of course, with holistic care for horses and animals.
    00:00:40:15 - 00:01:11:25
Where where does this this tradition, this the sort of warming or the warming or horses, rather, to the lunar cycle? What what is with this and how is it supposed to work? Well, you're correct in saying that we have had a holistic practice here for nearly 40 years working with horses and other large animals, as well as with pets and and some exotic animals.
    00:01:12:09 - 00:01:51:17
Um, I, I believe that, uh, therapists or veterinarians, animal caretakers, caregivers, uh, over the centuries have had a respect for the cycles of nature. And I think it's only in the modern times, the last 50, 60, 80 years where we have created, um, uh, chemicals, such strong chemicals or such strong medicines that we think we don't need to cooperate with nature anymore.
    00:01:51:27 - 00:02:22:08
But I, I really do believe that we, we should respect the cycles of nature and in our practice where we use natural therapies, both homeopathic and herbal, we have found that we get our best results when we respect the cycles of nature. Now, right now we're in April, so we're looking at at spring and all of that detoxing and getting ready for the season ahead.
    00:02:22:23 - 00:02:56:05
Uh, where do we, where do we fall on the warming schedule? Should we be doing it on a on a new moon as it's waxing waning fall? How does this work in general? With most parasitic conditions in animals? Uh, the best time to use a natural wormer would be between the new moon and the full moon. Now, there are so many variations that you don't want to make a flat statement about that.

Re Black Walnut in “Animal Ace”(?). Isn’t black walnut a risk factor for laminitis in horses?
