I’m trans, and when I first heard about Inanna I nearly cried I was so moved, just overwhelmed with feelings of appreciation and awe.
As I’ve learned more about her, she’s really amazed me. I love the stories and hymns that compare her to a raging river overflowing its banks when she is angry. That sort of imagery is really fitting symbolically because flooding rivers destroy, but they can also make the land fertile by depositing nutrient-rich sediment.
Her myths are so inspiring! The prayers to the morning star are among my favorite. 💜💜💜

I met Her in 2003, even a Roman Catholic priest (my spiritual director back at that time) blessed my devotions to Her. I really believe She is an interdimensional entity out of all others. I'm a recovering Christian. (Meaning I'm healing from being in that life.) I'm not sure I identify with Witch yet. I'm not even sure I can as a man. I do have ability to tap into some of the claires.
I came to hear of Inanna because I'm transgender and heard she transitioned some people. I have been looking into her. I have to say that all the places you mentioned that are things she likes are places I always felt drawn or calm at peace I'm at those places.

Birthday march 22nd two days after spring equinox. Deep diving into my birth chart as of recently I feel it definitely has something to do with my connection to ishtar. Similar to aries she is known to be the god or "goddess" of war and aries being the most sexual sign i feel resonates with the fertility aspect of ishtar. Within my chart having my sun in ♈ and my moon in cancer ♋ (masculine and feminine enegry) i feel intermingle with my venus which is also in aries and a planet also associate with ishtar. Its crazy how much i resonate with this entity me being a male! Thank you for contributing to this journey of self discovery I'm currently on ❤️

I need advice please. Inanna is my matron and I love her but lately I've been trying to connect with Hekate but I keep being bombarded with war and chaos dreams. I asked my cards who's stopping me from following Hekate and Inanna immediately came through. Do you think I can't do spells if I follow Ishtar primarely? By analysing my dreams I keep feeling like She and Enki keep telling me something like "you don't need Hekate"
The answers to these questions are ones that only you can answer. Spend a moon cycle or two and see how the energies are and where you are led💜

I am not a witch but on my spiritual journey I feel drawn to Inanna. I am currently reading the hymns and stories of Inanna and I would like to set up an altar for Inanna. Any advice on where in the home or outdoors this would be best. Thank you in advance.

This is somewhat timely, as being the Art-page I've been working on and have kept back as signing the electric, in live transmissions with freezing. As a progression series it's over the top in advancing the constructs - though I must admit it was/is the Word Inannareasoned to change by the combinates of spelling from Ishtar yet mostly makes me feel more than estranged & then disassociate it from the entire picture except it's at the out come of the out come's (2), at 5/1. Witch did make a tremendous find in *Gold & Silver this weekend of TIME, Were at 1st starting my research looking for Gold from Silver then to Silver again both became lost in the involvements of transformations.

I do not know if this will help.
But it is worth a shot.
Try assuming dominant roles, be the Authority figure period.
Those that do not allow it.
Rebel against them.
Instill fear [not the reverse].
Embrace your desires, be the authority figure in your sex life an overall house, make your partner feel submissive use them as you see fit.
Instead of working with Lilith, which is a submissive role.
It is what she rejects, submission sexually, socially and any other way.
Assert yourself, show her you are dominant like her, you might be surprised how quickly she will communicate with you.
She still is attached to humanity.
Like a realization that she could have been your mother.
Although, I prefer understanding Eve.

Inanna sounds similar to not only Venus but to Freya with the love, sex, and war aspect, as well as to Lilith, and Persephone with the decent into the underworld. Interesting how she is supposedly LGBTQ friendly. Why bisexual/asexual in particular?
Within several of the sonnets, many of the folks around her appear to have relationships that are typical of bisexual/asexual type.

As a bisexual and non-binary person who has been thinking about Ishtar lately, I am quite surprised to hear She likes queer people. I knew She had gender nonconforming priests back in the day, but I haven't thought of it quite like this!
I would add a note of caution when looking at some of the rewrites of her myths. Our early 1900 archaeologist and anthropologist were very often white elitist men with a Christian biasness. Many of their works still are used as references today. It may take you a little while to go through some of the misinformation to get to the good stuff. 💜💜🧙💜💜

inanna has no preferences to sexes. inanna is a representation of the feminine energy which has to do with archetypic mode of one of the two energies ruling the universe. plus inanna is curently incarnated, so she cant have spoken to you. you mention some really accurate things such as the number 7, but please do not say something that you yourself are not sure that happened (that inanna talked to you).
Not a single witch knows all, nor should they try. In my practice I try to avoid definitive statements. As stated this is One witches experience, and I do not remember you in the room with me. Thank you for your comments and concerns and I will keep them in mind with future videos.

I know this was posted years ago but I am a fairly new Inanna worshipper and yet I feel so loved and appreciated by her. I did a deity confirmation with a metaphysical store and they had me shuffle a deck of cards to see who I will be working with and for how long. I had originally dropped the Inanna card from my pile and put it in a random area within my deck. The card actually ended up being Inanna, which was wild to all of us since they WATCHED me out her card in a random area, and it ended up on top! Upon reading her stories, I felt very connected with them and I feel like what I lack, she represents. I’ve set up my alter and made offerings and being in her presence puts me at such ease. She feels like a mother figure, when I am down and need confidence I feel like she provides. Worshipping Inanna is wonderful🩷
BTW, something I haven’t read before but have discovered: I read that she loves apples so i laid one out for her and there wasn’t much of a response. When I laid a tangerine out for her, the candle I used to evoke her went NUTS. I thought it was hilarious since i never saw tangerines mentioned anywhere LMAO
