Cool to know you can extend it so far! I always thought this game stupidly hard. Now i see it was a Toaplan game and know why. :p Also had no idea how many hidden items there were! those point-scoring flowers are totally new to me.

omg! i remember playing this on the arcade machine and knew about the cheat where you got all the upgrades but never realised that the trick was to avoid being shot during the first section. Also never realised just how long it took to playthrough...

He's saying that this player is using some cheats, and this game can be completed with only LASER. I told him some enemies have resistance of laser and he doesn't even know about that, and he replied that I'm mad. xD

懐かしいです。スラップファイト3週が限界でしたね！1週すると球が速くなりパワーアップするとレベルが上がるのでノーマルミサイル&レーザーがベストでした。この手のBGMがなんともいいんですバイ！
当時一番ハマったゲームだ。STG下手な僕でも結構続くので好んでやってたな。
2P側で操作できる隠れキャラいたよね。画面に1発ずつしか弾が表示されないけど、近づくと連射が半端ないやつ。
攻略とか知らなかったので最初に打たずに進むのとか初めて知った。

自分がSTGにハマるきっかけになったゲーム、おそらくSTGでは一番やりこんだと思います。
当時中学生だったので、攻略は友人やゲーセン仲間からの伝え聞きのみだったので、ソロプレイでは５周が限界でした。
ヘルパーはショット時にのみ弾が出る（ただしフルウィングにするとでなくなる）ので、友人とヘルパープレイ時には他装備を装備できなかったという
”接待プレイ”で微妙にストレスが溜まったこともいい思い出です。
周回ごとに弾速・弾の量・敵の耐久値が上がっていくので、ソロ攻略にはレーザー必須だったのを覚えています。
１７周とか…もう訳が分からんですｗ

The ship you pilot is a "slap fighter" and it is referencing how upgrades are 'slapped' onto the ship when acquired.

このゲームはパターンゲー要素強め、武装も強力で全方位バリアもあり不意なミスを防げる、エクステンド多め、全ての場所で復活可能と、縦シューの中でもかなり簡単な部類ですが、255周はさすがに交代要員がいないとムリ。人間の体力やトイレが持たない。
