I might have to try out the Jane Austen devotional. I’ve read one that was a Charles Dickens devotional as well as a Christmas Carol one. It’s a fun and fresh way to approach Scripture!
And might have to try the Dickens and Christmas Carol ones. The Christmas Carol is especially intriguing.
I enjoyed hearing about your reading so far this month! I've managed to read Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley which I really enjoyed. I'm also almost finished with Mansfield Park. It's my second read-through. I've honestly been struggling through it. I don't know why I just can't get in the groove with it. I like Fanny Price and some of the other characters but it's so slow... It's really been a struggle! Maybe it's just my reading mood this month...
It's not you, it's Mansfield Park. I think it is the hardest one to read. I like it but it is so slow. and I always wanted Henry to get his act together and Fanny to fall for him. Edmund is not a good love interest.
@@bookingthroughlife Agreed! I truly do not understand why people think Edmund is good for Fanny. I think he's completely oblivious to everything but his own desires and inclinations. And it took a lot of Mary being really foolish for him to finally stop looking at her as a prospective partner and look to Fanny (who he only ever saw as a sister). He drove me nuts. Henry would have made a much better love interest had he smartened up!! I do think Fanny is a much stronger character than I initially perceived. But those around her.... ugh!
